Chapter 880: Chapter 713: Liking You Since the First Glance 54_2
The interaction between the two had become much more relaxed.
After she received the materials and notification for her exchange student acceptance, she called Bo Qin, "Uncle Qin, do you want to have dinner tonight?"
On the other end, she heard someone reporting quickly and densely, making her feel like she had picked an inopportune time to call. She hurriedly said, "Uncle Qin, you should go ahead, I’ll call you back later."
"No need, what do you want to eat? I’ll have Zhou Yao pick you up."
Jian Dan blinked, "Is that okay?"
"It’s fine." Bo Qin’s voice was smiling, Jian Dan also laughed, "Alright then, I’ll wait for you at the hot pot restaurant."
"Okay, sure."
Bo Qin hung up the phone, and all the eyes of the senior executives were on him. He raised an eyebrow, "What’s there to look at on me? Continue."
While others were reporting, he instructed Secretary Zhou to pick up Jian Dan, and he still pointed out the unreasonable parts in the report. To multitask to this extent was simply daunting.
The executive was extremely nervous, expecting to be severely reprimanded, but instead, Bo Qin just waved his hand, "Check it thoroughly next time, and don’t make such a low-level error."
"Yes."
A life was saved.
Unbelievable.
The meeting ended ten minutes later, and Bo Qin instructed them to continue the next morning. Everyone just watched him grab his coat and leave.
There were quite a few curious people about the phone call, but no one dared to discuss it. It was not something that should be discussed, and there wasn’t any need to anyway.
Zhou Yao dropped Jian Dan off at the hot pot restaurant, and as soon as she entered, she saw the man sitting upright by the window. He had his head down, battling with the menu, seemingly unsure of what to choose, and there was a waiter standing next to him, explaining carefully.
Sometimes he frowned, at times squinted, looking a bit comical.
Zhou Yao had never seen Mr. Bo so animated, he dared not watch and just told Jian Dan, "I have an appointment, Miss, you can go in yourself."
"Aren’t you joining us, Secretary Zhou?"
How could he dare?
Zhou Yao shook his head, "No, Miss,"
Jian Dan watched Secretary Zhou leave, and then walked towards Bo Qin. It seemed Bo Qin sensed it, and he looked up to see Jian Dan approaching with a big smile. He waved off the waiter, "You go ahead, I’ll call you once I’m done, thank you."
The waiter saw Jian Dan, understood, and then left.
Jian Dan sat directly opposite Bo Qin, her smile radiant, with a warm feeling. She smiled, "Uncle Qin, what kind of broth do you like? I can introduce you."
"You come here often?"
Bo Qin asked.
Jian Dan nodded, "I often come here with Lulu and Weiwei, it’s really tasty, truly."
Bo Qin smiled, handing the menu to her, "Congratulations."
Jian Dan knew what he was congratulating her for, and with a big smile, she said thank you, then lowered her head to make recommendations, "Uncle Qin, do you eat sour soup?"
"Yes."
"How about we order a yuan yang pot, half sour soup, half spicy?"
"You decide."
Jian Dan nodded, thinking Bo Qin probably hadn’t tried this kind of hot pot before, she started ordering, choosing things she liked, then asking Bo Qin what he liked, didn’t like, could or couldn’t eat.
After a flurry of checking and marking, she ordered a lot, and then stopped to call the waiter over, handing the menu over.
"Please make it quick, thank you."
Once the waiter left, it was just the two of them, and since it was meal time, many people came and went. All were attracted by the good looks at their table by the window, but mainly by Bo Qin’s strong presence, which was hard to ignore.
As Bo Qin listened to Jian Dan talk about the exchange student matters, he occasionally offered his own advice. Jian Dan felt at ease, "Uncle Qin, dining with you is actually quite interesting."
Bo Qin was puzzled, with a phone in hand ready to reply to messages, but lost interest, "What do you mean?"
Jian Dan crossed her hands on the table, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Bo Qin, "Uncle Qin is so high and aloof, not like anything earthly, I’m giving you a chance to come back down to earth."
Bo Qin was at a loss whether to cry or laugh, "If you like it, we can always come and eat."
Unexpectedly, Jian Dan shook her head, "Having Uncle Qin in a place like this always feels out of place. Maybe you could switch to more casual clothes next time and we can come again?"
"Do you think I’m old?"
Bo Qin raised an eyebrow, and asked.
The tone carried an inexplicable danger.
Jian Dan, with her strong will to survive, couldn’t possibly miss the hint, and shook her head, "No, it’s just not the right fit, can’t really enjoy the meal."
