Chapter 318 - 317: All This for a Woman

Chapter 318: Chapter 317: All This for a Woman

She didn’t know how she eventually got out of the bathroom.

Maybe she just fainted out of fear.

That’s the only feeling she had at the moment.

Even if she passed out, Edward Stephens showed no mercy to her.

Although she didn’t feel she had wronged him in any way, when he showed up here with so many people, Daisy Ginger was still scared.

She didn’t know how he found her so quickly.

Clearly, this kind of place was impossible to be discovered.

She even changed her name, and stopped using her bank card altogether.

In all her life, she had never felt so small, terrified of her inability to resist in front of another person.

Daisy Ginger curled up her body, the damp evening breeze blew across her bare back, sending a chill through her.

Behind her came the sound of someone landing, as the man climbed down from the window sill, and his footsteps approached steadily on the wooden floor.

Daisy lowered her eyes, seeing two long, straight legs appear in her line of sight.

Then, the man sat on the sofa not far from her, and his icy voice rang out in the room, "If I hadn’t come today, how many men were you planning to be with?"

He actually...!

Obviously, she was the victim, yet from his mouth, it sounded as if she was the one being proactive!

Daisy’s face turned red at once, she looked up, and said fiercely, "Edward Stephens, how are you any different from them?!!"

The man’s dark gaze fell on her face, his voice cold, "I am your man. They are not."

Daisy clenched her hands, "You’re not!"

He ignored her, his tall figure like a tranquil tree shadow, languidly leaning on the sofa with his long legs crossed, announcing his decision indifferently, "Tomorrow, I’m taking you back to the city."

Daisy tried to hold back, but couldn’t help herself, scoffing, "Who do you think you are—"

Before she finished, the man on the sofa suddenly stood up, took a step towards her bed, his cold eyes gleaming menacingly in the dim light, like a wolf.

Daisy was entranced by his gaze, unable to finish her sentence, biting her tongue out of fear, she slowly moved back towards the edge of the bed.

Edward looked at her and said coldly, "Daisy Ginger, don’t make me settle the score with you bit by bit. Do you want to pay it back now? Hmm?"

His tone was ruthless, filled with threat, and Daisy pursed her lips with some humiliation.

Yet she felt a bit unwilling.

She feared his violence, yet was unwilling to submit to him, wanting to refuse, but not daring to speak up for herself.

Edward looked at her curled-up, unwilling figure in the bed, thinking about how she disappeared without a trace these days, hiding in such a desolate place, even going as far as getting a fake ID to avoid him. It made him want to punish her harshly once again.

To find her, he had even sacrificed his own future—

Like a madman.

For a woman, why had he gone this far.

Daisy could sense his gaze falling on her becoming colder, more devoid of warmth. She bowed her head, her fingertips trembling. She recalled the punishment and revenge he dealt her in the bathroom, and she felt a little afraid.

He might not hurt her too badly, but causing her pain was too easy for him. He could openly and justifiably strike back at her, and she would have no way to resist him.

Edward glanced at her, withdrawing his gaze, then coldly said to her, "Get dressed and come out," kicking aside the wooden door and leaving from the doorway.
