“Then, according to the wishes of Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, what should be done? Do you expect Xian’er Your Highness to commit suicide to apologize to your evil gods?”
This was the second time Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, had heard the Elf Goddess refer to the goddess from the Immortal and Demon Kingdom as “Xian’er Your Highness” in his words.
One had to know that the title “Your Highness” was a supreme honor on the Primordial Continent.
It was generally used by lower-ranking deities to address higher-ranking ones.
But setting aside the fact that the Elf Goddess was an ancient Divine-type deity with supreme status on the Primordial Continent,
and purely in terms of strength, although both were in the middle stage of Lord God, the goddess from the Immortal and Demon Kingdom was clearly much lower than the Elf Goddess.
Therefore, no matter what, the Elf Goddess should not have addressed the goddess from the Immortal and Demon Kingdom as “Xian’er Your Highness.”
This was too outrageous.
Could it be that the goddess from the Immortal and Demon Kingdom had a background he was unaware of?
Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, pushed aside his distractions. Since he couldn’t figure it out, he decided not to think about it and focused on the problem at hand.
He pondered for a moment and said,
“You must make the ruler of the Immortal and Demon Kingdom return the divine cores of the evil gods they hunted from the evil faction, and all the divine artifacts must also be returned to us.”
He felt that his demands were not excessive, because he knew that the Goddess of Nature was completely on the side of the Immortal and Demon Kingdom, and no matter how unreasonable his demands were, the Elf Goddess would not agree to them.
To his surprise, when Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, stated his conditions, the Elf Goddess did not immediately agree.
Instead, she turned her head and asked Xian’er, who stood with her sword in hand,
“Xian’er Your Highness, what do you think?”
Looking at the Elf Goddess’s respectful demeanor, a sour feeling rose within him.
What kind of potion had the Immortal and Demon Kingdom given to the Goddess of Nature and the Faith Beast God faction to make them so loyal?
Xian’er lowered her head and caressed the divine artifact in her hand, her incredibly beautiful face etched with stern killing intent.
Upon hearing this, she glanced at Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, whose entire body exuded an aura of decay, and her eyes blazed with boundless battle intent.
Xian’er said coldly, “Returning the divine artifacts and divine cores is absolutely impossible. These are my spoils of war, why should I return them to you.”
“It’s clearly because you evil gods from the evil faction were not powerful enough, yet you dared to provoke me and offend my great Holy Lord. Isn't it natural that you died?”
“So, if you want to fight, then fight, but you absolutely cannot take away my spoils of war.”
Xian’er truly looked down on the evil gods of the evil faction and Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter. This was because when she was in the Upper Realm,
she had killed countless Lord Gods of similar cultivation to Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter. To her, killing them was as easy as killing chicks.
And now, these chicks dared to make demands of her. How could that be allowed?
This was a complete challenge to her reputation as a War God.
Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, felt that he had already made a significant concession, yet he did not expect the goddess from the Immortal and Demon Kingdom to be so unyielding.
She couldn’t even do the most basic thing. A surge of anger rose within him, and he wished he could disregard all pretense and use his divine artifact of decay to kill this arrogant goddess.
“Elf Goddess, you see, it’s not that I’m unwilling to make peace, but it’s this goddess from the Immortal and Demon Kingdom who is unwilling to cooperate.”
The Elf Goddess merely gave him a faint look and said,
“I actually find that Xian’er Your Highness speaks with great reason. Your evil gods from the evil faction provoked first, and then, being inferior in skill, you were killed. Is the victor wrong for not returning the spoils of war?”
Her gentle eyes looked at Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, as if he were a disobedient child.
“If you were the victor, would you agree to the loser’s demand to return the spoils of war?”
Of course not!
Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, certainly would not return them, but being labeled as the “loser” made him extremely displeased.
He said with great unhappiness, “Then what should we do now?”
The Elf Goddess, with her infuriatingly calm tone, said,
“What else can we do? Since she’s unwilling to give them, then don’t demand them!”
It wasn’t her possessions anyway, so it didn’t matter whether they were given or not.
However, since she stood on Xian’er Your Highness’s side, she would naturally speak in her favor.
“Why?”
Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, was extremely dissatisfied. He accused,
“Elf Goddess, do you have any sense of justice? This is blatant favoritism towards the Immortal and Demon Kingdom!”
Their evil faction had suffered such heavy losses, yet they received no compensation. Who would be willing to accept this?
And yet, this Elf Goddess, who had suddenly intervened, was actually taking sides.
Hmph, if it weren't for the Goddess of Nature coming to help the Immortal and Demon Kingdom, he would have already resolved this matter and killed that goddess named Xian’er!
There wouldn’t be so many problems.
Upon hearing Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter’s words, a hint of confusion flickered in the Elf Goddess’s eyes.
“When did I ever say I was fair and just? I am merely peaceful and wish to prevent war. What do other matters have to do with me?”
The Elf Goddess was truly naive and direct, her words leaving Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, stunned.
“You! You are one of the ancient Lord Gods of the Primordial Continent, how can you be like this?”
The Elf Goddess said impatiently,
“Don’t morally blackmail me. I never said those things. You are the ones who have attached these strange titles to me. If I were fair and just, I wouldn’t have beaten you black and blue back then.”
At this moment, the Elf Goddess was utterly fed up with Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter.
She felt he was being long-winded and less straightforward than when he was weaker.
Hearing the Elf Goddess bring up again how she had once beaten him to a pulp, the veins on Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter’s forehead twitched involuntarily.
The Elf Goddess continued her assault,
“Furthermore, if I hadn’t arrived in time just now, you might have killed all hundreds of thousands of Goddesses of Nature. I haven’t settled that score with you yet.”
What the Elf Goddess was referring to was that when Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, appeared, he had shattered the temporal battlefield, and the residual power had nearly caused the deaths of some less powerful Goddesses of Nature.
“Lord Jiemie, Blood Slaughter, in ancient times, our Goddesses of Nature, in order to resist the Lord of the Abyss, used almost the entire power of our divine system to barely seal the Lord of the Abyss.”
“Now our strength as Goddesses of Nature has weakened. And you, evil gods of the evil faction, are you treating us like this?”
