Chapter 198: 198: Healing Attempt
His lips came down to Eden’s neck again. Kissing and licking through his neck while sending sensual pleasures through Eden’s every self
"Ah.... Mmm" Eden found himself moaning at the lips that ran through his skin. The lips that now traveled down his chest and a hand made its way down to his pants.
Eden felt a hand move down as it struggled to understand him. The hand was quick and urgent. It was only a matter of time before Eden would be laying naked here.
And as soon as that thought struck Eden, he quickly snapped back to reality. He blinked as he stared at Adrian who was above him, hungrily tasting every bit of his body..
"This..." he muttered in soft tone as he instantly kicked Adrian off him. Adrian fell off him and fell on the other side of the bed.
He lay there, slowly falling asleep. Soon, his inaudible murmuring wasn’t heard anymore.
Eden sat up, blinking as he stared at the body that lay next to him. He ran a hand through his head as he adjusted his clothes.
"What the hell came over me...? What was I even thinking..?" He muttered as he made his way out of bed, fixing himself up.
"He’s clearly drunk..or drugged or whatever. I’d be taking advantage of him...or him taking advantage of him...?" He stared at Adrian who was fast asleep in bed.
"Either way, I can’t do this now. We’re in the middle of death and I have to plan myself out" He said as he looked around the room.
Eden stared at his dress "Let’s get this fixed first..." He cast a spell that changed his clothes back to normal.
"You seem to be having fun a while ago"
She heard someone say as she turned to see Lenny. The cat was sitting on the chair there, hands crossed with a casual expression.
"What?"
"Nothing"
Eden rolled his eyes as he turned to Adrian "He’s clearly drugged and I have a bad feeling that this drug won’t wear out before morning..."
"Obviously" Lenny pointed out "The drug will be effective till the next day. Marquis Dean was intentional with it. So that if the ladies don’t kill him before tomorrow morning, they can still have him dead since he’ll still be drugged"
"How disgusting" Eden muttered as he stared at him "I guess I have no choice but to try cleaning it off with powers"
"You could try" Lenny agreed as Eden made his way to his side. He sat down beside Adrian as he took his hands in his.
"Please don’t change him into a cow..." Eden muttered, knowing that he could never predict what his dumb powers would be up to.
He cast a spell. His mind mentally fixed on the desire to cleanse whatever Adrian had in him. Whatever drug he had in.
He took his time, channelling his powers into him. And soon, he slowly opened his eyes.
"Did it work? Or did you kill him??" Lenny questioned.
"It worked..." Eden said "I felt it..."
Lenny slowly nodded "That’s good then. I hope it doesn’t have a side effect later"
Eden smiled "Like making him full-blown gay or what?"
They both smiled it off as Eden stared at Adrian now, his expression growing serious.
"What’s it? Why are you staring at him like that?" Lenny asked.
"It’s just that while also cleaning off the drugs, I got a feel of his illness" He explained "He is critically ill..."
Lenny sighed "True. I wasn’t expecting that twist for him though. Do you think the author meant it that way?"
Eden Shrugged "Maybe? I don’t know. We never got there..."
Lenny sighed "Maybe he really wants to hand over his position to his younger brother since he can’t trust people around him. And since his brother isn’t in the position of being a marquis, he probably wants to meet the Emperor and have him grant him this wish before he dies..."
It was a wild guess from Lenny. But the two of the could already imagine it being true. It felt like the truth.
"That’s probably why he’s bent on having my head. Because he urgently needs to get this done before he dies..." Eden sighs "Even though he was trying to kill me, I don’t know why I feel bad for him"
Lenny Shrugged.
"Maybe..." Eden said as he took Adrian’s hands in his own again "Maybe I can do something..."
"Like healing him?" Lenny asked.
"His condition is critical now. I think the drug his butler gave him worsened it. His pulse is failing and it’s just getting...bad.. I have a feeling that if it continues like this he might actually die by tomorrow..."
"And since when did you become a doctor?" Lenny raised an eyebrow.
Eden shrugged "Probably after I got my powers"
Lenny stared at Adrian and said "Perhaps you could actually cleanse off the position that is triggering his illness. Or maybe suppress the illness. But since you haven’t fully mastered your powers, I’d be almost impossible to heal him completely. After all, it’s a terminal illness"
Eden nodded "I’ll do that instead. Just like I did with Adrian"
He nodded as he held Adrian by the hands. His eyes closed as he slowly took in a deep breath. In and out.
He muttered words of healing while channeling his energy into Eden. And soon, purple energy began circling them. Flowing from Eden down to Adrian and around. It was obvious Eden was getting it done right.
He was cleaning off the trigger poison Mr Hugo had used on Adrian. And he was also suppressing the illness’s negative effect. Eden was using his all to make sure to bring Adrian to a safe health state.
And Lenny sat there watching him do it.
It wasn’t an easy process that would happen in a matter of minutes or even an hour. It was going to take a while. And so Eden sat there, holding Adrian’s hands while channeling his powers through and hoping it works.
