Chapter 73: 73: A Final Warning
Queen Lea said nothing. Fear gripped her face as she stared at the drink Eden had in his hands.
She wasn’t going to take it for sure. But then again she didn’t know what to say either.
"What? You don’t want it? You don’t like it..?" Eden asked as he kept the cup on the table close by.
Now Eden turned to stare at Queen lea who still had her eyes on him.
"I thought I made myself clear this evening at the banquet when I said that no one is allowed to lay a finger on him..." His cold eyes were on him "I wonder why you are being stubborn about it? Do you want me to come for you?"
"You...! How dare you..!" The maid was trying to defend the Queen. But Eden didn’t even look in her direction.
Eden continued "Let’s take it as though you lost your mind for a second there..."
He paused now as he placed both hands behind his back, his eyes on Queen Lea "Next time you try anything as stupid as this... I will make you choke over every poison I can provide on this earth. I’ll give you a slow and painful death..."
Queen Lea said nothing, she casually stared at him, shivering.
Eden now slowly leaned closer to her, this time slowly whispering to her ear side "And...I’ll give you a quick hint. Things might start getting messy for you when next you provoke me publicly.. so send that tattooed maid away immediately before the world knows what you did tonight at the banquet..."
Queen Lea had a hunch that Eden might know that she was behind the poisoning. But she had brushed the thought off.
But now hearing him say this, she was more than certain that he knew.
She gasped as she glared at him "You .. how did you.."
Eden smiled "Don’t mess with a wizard. They could be your worst nightmare..."
He smiled as he stood firm, now turning to the maid "Nice tattoos lady poison" He expressed as he walked away, leaving the chamber.
Seconds after he left the room, the room was still quiet.
Queen Lea sat there, feeling speechless as she stared into thin air. She couldn’t believe what had just happened right now.
She couldn’t believe that Eden had just threatened her, sending chills down her spin. He left her speechless.
She slowly looked at the maid who was also looking shocked. "Begin making preparations.. You should leave tonight by all means. Run away and make sure no one finds you..."
"Yes" The maid nodded as she turned and left.
As she left, The Queen angrily took the cup of medicine Eden had left on the table and smashed on the floor.
"That monster!!!" She snapped angrily as she watched it shatter. The maids had rushed to pick up the pieces.
"How dare he... What... What does he think he is? How dare he think he can talk down on me like that...?"
She gasped as she looked around "That... how dare he..."
She was panicking as she looked around, wondering what she was going to do. She couldn’t let Eden continue talking down on him. He couldn’t let Eden threaten him with the knowledge he had.
"I have to meet the king..." Queen Lea said "I have to meet the king. I have to destroy him...."
She said as she rushed out of the door.
Queen Lea had soon arrived at the King’s Chamber. The King was still pacing around his room in thoughts. His hands on his chin while walking up and down.
"Your Majesty, We can’t let that monster stay with us any further..." The Queen said "That wizard has to go. He can’t stay.. he can’t..."
King Edward sighed "It’s not like I want him to stay. Of Course I want him to leave. But.. what the hell do you want me to do? Drive him away or what? It won’t be that easy"
Queen Lea sighed as she sat down on the bed "I don’t care what’s done..I just want him to go. We can’t have him here any further"
She was scared that having Eden around for long would result to him walking all up on her. She was just threatened today but heaven knows what’s going to happen next!
"We should have him killed..." Queen lea said "I don’t believe we can’t find a way to have him kill someone. It’s impossible that we can’t..."
"We can’t interrupt whatever plans he..."
"I don’t care about whatever plans that crown prince has. It’s obvious that the two of them are in this together... We can’t give them way more .. we have to stop them"
"Besides..." Queen lea added "They might have also lied about him losing his memory.. he clearly knows himself.. he clearly knows that he’s the wizard of EL.."
The King thought "It’s pretty obvious at the moment that that son of mine is taking advantage of everything. He’s making use of the Wizard now. He can’t be trusted much.. Heaven knows what they’re planning..."
"I don’t care what they’re doing. I just want him out. I can’t stay with him any further.. I can’t handle him.." She said.
King Edward paced around for awhile, thinking.
After a while, he said "We’ll have to think of a way then. We’ll have to find a way to end him instead. Since we can’t just send him away easily"
"How then do you plan on having him killed?" Queen Lea asked.
King Edward was quiet for a while. Pacing around while he thought of what was going to happen.
"We’ll find someone.." King Edward said "At this haunting event, I’m more than sure that he’ll want to tag along"
Queen lea stared at him "So... What do you plan on doing..?"
King Edward thought for a while "I’m going to send someone there. They’re going to be in the woods... So no one will know if anything happens to him in the long run"
"So... You’re going to get someone to kill him?" Queen Lea asked as king Edward stared at him with a smile.
Confirming that indeed, that was his plan.
