Chapter 65: You’re Safe Now.

Chapter 65: 65: You’re Safe Now.

The banquet hall was quiet.

No one dared talk. And no one dared question or attack Eden now.

They all just stood there at their distance, watching. They couldn’t even gossip at the spot anymore after a near death experience.

Eden let out a soft sigh, satisfied with the result of everything. He slowly turned to look at Elvis who was still on his knees, looking exhausted.

Eden slowly bent down to meet him on the ground, a smile on his face

Elvis slowly looked up, his eyes meeting Eden’s gentle stare and his warm smile. Elvis hesitated.

"Don’t worry" Eden assured, staring into Elvis’s exhausted eyes "You’re safe now. No one will touch"

Elvis didn’t say anything. He was too tired to utter a word even if he wanted to say anything. He casually stayed there on his knees while staring at Eden.

"Let’s go" Eden now offers, stretching out his hands to Elvis."Let’s go get you treated.

The guards had helped Eden take Elvis back to his chamber.

No guard wanted to help before. Eden had threatened them into doing so. And so they helped.

And as Eden left the banquet chamber, the party was basically over.

Everyone began leaving the banquet hall immediately. They didn’t even waste a second there.

No one wanted to wait for their second chance at death. They left the hall, including The Grand duke and Grand Marquis. And soon, it was empty.

Only the Royal family was left there as the king wore an annoyed expression on his face.

He didn’t know what to say but stood there, his fists clenched.

Even Queen lea and Queen Elizabeth who stood there didn’t know what to say. They were all just quite as they looked around, trying to recover from what had just happened.

Queen Elizabeth had her eyes on the door through which the guards had taken her son past. She was worried about her son. But she didn’t dare step out.

Queen Lea glared at Queen Elizabeth as she said "Your son has done it again. Congratulations on having him ruin everything in a row!"

Queen Elizabeth was quiet. She didn’t respond.

"I didn’t believe that it could get any worse, but here we are being threatened by some monster your dear son picked up! You must be so proud, huh?" Queen Lea snapped at her.

Queen Elizabeth was still mute.

"Enough with that" But King Edward interrupted them. He didn’t seem like he was in the mood for any of that.

"Stop that..." He said as he quietly left the banquet hall followed by his guards. He didn’t seem in the mood for anything. He seemed rather pissed.

Queen Lea watched him leave "Your Majesty, wait for me..." She called as she looked at Queen Elizabeth.

"You and your worthless son" Queen Lea snapped as she turned and walked off, following the King.

Queen Elizabeth stood there, both hands clasped together in thoughts. Her lady-in-waiting watched her for a while as she asked.

"Do you want to go and check on your son?" Her lady-in-waiting asked.

She said nothing. She just stood there, feeling anxious.

********

Elvis was now in bed. Tucked nicely under his blanket by Eden who sat beside him in bed.

Mr George and some other maids stood there at the side of the chamber, watching anxiously. They were worried about the prince, but were more worried about the fact that the wizard was with their prince.

Eden had a towel over Elvis’s forehead which he messaged his forehead with. Gently, as he stared at his face.

The atmosphere was quiet. No one was talking. Only Eden was gently running the warm towel around his head. His eyes were fixed on Elvis.

"How long are you going to keep staring at my face?" Elvis finally spoke. He was halfway asleep and halfway away.

"Until you get better" Eden said, still running the towel over his head.

Elvis managed to stretch out his hand and held Eden by the hand, stopping him from massaging his forehead with the towel.

Elvis’s eyes were lazily open "I can do it. Don’t bother"

"Just rest and let me do it" Eden gently brushed off his weak hands "You shouldn’t be shy about having yourself treated by me. Just focus on recovering"

He continued the massaging over his forehead.

Elvis sighed softly. He didn’t even have the strength to send him away even though he wanted to.

As Eden did that for awhile, he got a pill out from his pocket "You skipped your pills, so it was no wonder you got this worse"

Elvis stared at the pills in his hands "You should be getting a cure by now. And not some relief pills. How long do you plan on keeping me in this state?"

Eden smiled "How can I let go of you that easily? If I do then I won’t have anyone with me. I’ll be lonely" Eden smiled.

He was sure Elvis understood what he meant. But he couldn’t say for the others behind him. They probably raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Elvis rolled his eyes. He didn’t have time to argue with him about that. "Hand it to me then, I’ll take the pills"

"No" Eden refused "Have you forgotten that it’s most effective when I give it to you through my mouth?"

Mr George choked over his salvia as Eden said that. The maids around also stared in shock at the statement.

Elvis immediately stared at Eden "What rubbish are you saying now...?"

"It’s not rubbish. This isn’t the first time we’ve done it? Is it? So why are you shy about it?" Eden smiled.

"How shameless..." Mr George muttered "Why are you messing with the sick crown prince?"

The maids certainly felt the same way but didn’t dare speak. They couldn’t believe their ears.

Eden didn’t bother looking at Mr George who was fussing up. He casually had his eyes on Elvis. "Don’t you want to get better?"

Elvis stared at him for a while. There was silence. He was probably considering what to do while considering his condition.

And then he said to Mr George and the maids.

"Everyone leave. Leave the two of us alone"
