Chapter 98: 98: My Precious Powers..
Eden blinked as he stared at Felix for what seemed like a minute.
He couldn’t believe he was actually standing with one of the male leads who potentially had the key to his powers.
He didn’t know how. But that was enough to give him some hope.
"Hello?" Felix called his attention having watched him zoom off for a while.
"It told me that I would meet my lover" Eden randomly replied with an excited smile.
"Huh?" Felix was shocked at the words.
"My intuition told me that I would meet my lover. And I guess it was right. I did meet my other half" Eden had a silly smile on now. One that sorta scared Felix.
Confused and alert, Felix placed a hand over his chest as though he was protecting his body "What are you talking about...?"
Eden still had that smile on as he stared at Felix with fixed attention "I can’t believe I met you, my love"
He was referring to his power that was potentially lingering around Felix’s body.
But with his eyes on Felix as he made the statement made Felix freak out as he took some steps backwards "What rubbish are you on about? I don’t like guys so stop staring at me like that"
Eden now came back to reality as he stared at him "Why?"
"Why? I don’t. So stop with that" Felix demanded.
Eden hated that all the guys here were freaking straight. That basically made his work much more difficult!
"Well, we can still change that" Eden muttered, but Felix still heard it.
He glared at Eden in shock.
Eden was at least glad that he had the chance of getting his powers back.
It turned out that one of the male leads was the key to his powers. And he was happy about that.
At least he would get his powers soon hopefully. And could defend himself.
Life here would be much safer then!
"So..." Eden sighed with Felix’s frightened glare on him, his hands slightly over his chest "Let’s just cut down to the chase. You want to kill me right?"
Having discovered that he had the key to his powers, Eden didn’t wish to waste much time anymore.
He didn’t want to take the normal procedures but got straight to the point of outlining their intentions and clocking a deal.
"Huh? Why would I want to harm you...?" Felix asked. Eden knew he was lying.
"You don’t have to deny it. I already know what you want. I’m not human like you" Eden felt it was already time they started acknowledging that he wasn’t human at least and that he could potentially know everything!
"I don’t think I have a reason to randomly kill you..." He was still denying.
"Because you hate me for being the reason the Emperor stopped all Mage activity. So you want to have my head as per the Emperor’s order and have him grant you your wish of restoring it all back"
Eden broke it down to him.
He didn’t wish to waste any time but wanted to get straight to the point and get closer to him!
He certainly wanted his powers back as soon as possible.
Felix casually blinked as he watched Eden rattle down his whole reasons and intention. He guessed he really underestimated him.
"So... What now?" Felix questioned "What are you going to do now that you know? Kill me first?"
Felix now pulled out his staff. A blue staff which he always carried with him. One that was presumably his magic staff.
But Eden knew there were no powers in them even though he claimed that there was.
"If you want a to kill me, then come at me then. I won’t back down without a fight. And I’ll make sure you get a taste of my magical staff"
"..."
Eden stood there, staring at him. He didn’t say anything for a while, thus leaving Felix in an awkward position.
"What?"
"Do you think you could win if you attacked? You’re simply asking for your death, young man" Eden said, even though he knew they were literally of the same age.
Felix hesitated "At least I won’t be going down without a fight"
Eden smiled as he slowly walked up to him.
Eden now stood on his toe as he ran his finger through Felix’s perfectly outlined facial features. His eyes, nose, lips, chin and down to his neck.
Felix stiffened, feeling uncomfortable by it. He slowly pulled his face backwards. "What..."
"I won’t harm you. Why would I harm a pretty face like yours? Especially if it’s the face of my lover"
Felix stared at him "I said I don’t like guys. So what do you want from me?"
"Instead of fighting, let’s make a deal that we both will benefit from"
Felix now stepped backwards, pulling back from Eden whom he felt too close to. "Deal? Who makes deals with the devil?"
Eden glared at him "Desperate people" he said.
"I’m not desperate. So I’ll pass"
Eden smiled "Is that so? Are you sure you’re okay spending years roaming the world without any hope of having any real powers all? Just living in your delusions of being a mage while telling yourself that you have powers when you clearly are just.... ordinary?"
"Shut up" Felix snapped at him. That stung him.
Eden smiled "It’s just the hard truth"
"Even if I’m that desperate, I could just kill you and get things done" Felix added.
"You can never kill me even if you wanted to" Eden said. "So stop being delusional and just listen to the deal I have to offer"
Felix knew he couldn’t beat him if he wanted.
He had initially planned on approaching the wizard of EL with a guise. The guise of being a curious student who wished to take Eden as his master.
That way, he could find a way to either kill Eden or drain his powers somehow.
But Eden knew a little bit too much. And he had ruined the plan of taking that guise.
He had exposed his plan even before he could speak and that made him defensively spill his plans of harming him.
He never planned it that way. Now he didn’t know if it was still possible to ride on that guise.
And for Eden, he was thinking about how to present his offer to Felix in a way that he won’t be able to resist.
And while he thought about it, Lenny had spoken again. Random yet, clear.
"Kiss him"
