Chapter 132: 132: A Tale Of Two II
Queen Elizabeth discovered all he did.
She knew she didn’t have enough power to question the King. And so she decided to plan behind the scenes.
To make a plan of revenge for those who were killed by her husband.
But it was already too late. King Edward had already discovered that she knew. And he certainly wasn’t letting her off.
He feared she would expose him. But he also couldn’t bring himself to kill her. And so he decided to do something else.
Make her life more miserable that she wouldn’t dare speak a word about what she knew.
King Edward had used her most beloved treasure against her. Her dear son who was still young - Elvis.
Elvis was still a kid back then who didn’t know anything. And Queen Elizabeth adored her so much. So king Edward used it against her.
He threatened to kill the baby if she said anything. And he threatened to also make his life miserable before his death in the future if she said anything.
Queen Elizabeth couldn’t go against the King. So she found herself giving in to his words. She wanted to protect her son.
So she promised not to say anything. Even though it tore her apart within. Living with the guilt while the King used her son as a living threat to her.
"If you ever make any move to speak, I’ll kill him" He kept threatening her and she knew he would do it. So she kept quiet to protect her son.
But king Edward didn’t stop there. He guessed it wasn’t enough to keep her mouth shut.
And he feared that if she got close to her son in future when he grew up, they could possibly rebel against him in the future if she told him when he grew up.
So he came up with another plan. One that would make Queen Elizabeth not close to her son.
He threatened Queen Elizabeth to keep her distance from her own son. Threatening to also kill him if she got close to him.
Queen Elizabeth didn’t wish to but she had no choice. To protect her son’s life in the dangerous Royal world, she grew cold to her own son.
She never played with her son. And never got close to her son and didn’t even take care of her son while he grew up. She gave him the cold shoulders.
She always pushed him away whenever Elvis tried coming close to her as his mother. She was cold and heartless to him. Keeping him away to protect him.
And there was an incident that made Elvis come to his senses. An incident that made him realise that his mother never cared for him. And would never.
When he had gotten in trouble at the age of 10. His father had punished him hard like a criminal. Whipping the kid hard in the name of punishing him.
Elvis had cried for his mother. And Queen Elizabeth stood there, watching. She didn’t come over to stand up for his son.
She held it all in as she turned her back against her own son and walked off. Walking away from her son and turning his back against him.
And that was the moment the kid realised that his mother never cared for him.
And after that, he decided to also stop going after his mother. He decided to also distance himself from her.
Not even minding to know that Queen Elizabeth locked herself in her room crying for weeks, heartbroken.
For countless times, she had wanted to take her life so King Edward wouldn’t use anything to hurt her. But her lady-in-waiting stopped her.
She lived her life in the palace miserable for years.
And like that they never had any close mother and son relationship. The two grew to be strangers. Strangers who only stared at each other with care but pushed each other away.
It was no news now that the two weren’t close at all. They were like strangers.
And King Edward was happy about that. At least his secret was safe. He didn’t even care to know how miserable Queen Elizabeth lived.
All he cared about was keeping his secret. And he even grew colder to Queen Elizabeth. Treating her anyhow. Talking down on her and letting her second wife ( whom he had made to be on the same status as The first wife) also talk down on her.
King Edward collectively treated the two terribly. The mother and the son. And he did so after he had ruined their relationship. Tearing them further away from ever coming back together.
They both lived miserable lives in the palace. Never truly happy.
Elvis grew with no real care from anyone. He learnt to survive in the ruthless palace alone by himself. Abandoned by his mother and giving up on the warmth of someone’s care.
And Queen Elizabeth lived with the guilt of knowing about the death of a friend. And also being separated from her son who probably hates her now.
A relationship ruined all because of a secret the King was bent on keeping.
A secret still kept till this day and a relationship still ruined till now.

The Visual summary was slowly coming to an end.
Eden’s vision is also becoming clear now. Out of the magical dimension, but back to the reality of the library where he was sitting.
He blinked with a soft gasp, the images still fresh in his mind, the story still lingering.
"Are you... Crying...?" Lenny asked.
And It was at that moment that Eden realised that his eyes were wet.
He brought a finger to his eyes and brushed the teardrop that was escaping down his eyes.
He let out a low and soft gasp as cleaned off the remaining tears with the back of his palms.
"You are crying..." Lenny declared "Why? What did you see in there that made you cry? What’s wrong?"
The cat was worried.
And so were the two young men that now stood in front of Eden.
