Chapter 112: 112: A Support Kiss
It was Eden’s fantasy. But he found reality in what he speculated.
He chose to believe that Elvis was somehow falling for him without even knowing. He wanted to believe that he had subconsciously come to his rescue without thinking twice out of the attraction he had for him.
Or was he just reaching? Eden didn’t know either.
He was always so good at predicting men in terms of love. A self proclaimed love guru. So that’s what his intuition said at least.
Or maybe it was his way of paying Eden back for having saved him the previous time?
Or was he just playing his part of the deal where he was to protect him?
It was hard to tell.
"I guess I’ll have to ask you myself when you wake up" Eden said as he held onto his hands softly.
Soon, Elvis’s expression began moving.
Eden looked up at Elvis who was moving his face in an unpleasant manner. Now muttering some incomprehensible words. Like one having a nightmare.
Eden knew he was having a nightmare. He could tell from his expression that grew more uneasy and the words he muttered.
He couldn’t hear them from where he sat. And he was curious to know what he was muttering. And so he leaned forward to at least get something.
And he did.
"Mum...."
".... Don’t go... Mum..."
"Mum...."
Those were the audible words he could get from his muttering. And it was enough to tell Eden what ran through his head.
His mother.
"He’s dreaming about his mother...?" Eden thought "I wonder what he’s dreaming about"
Eden wondered why he was asking his mother not to leave. His mother was still here in the palace, right?
Eden was now curious as he stared at Elvis’s face. He was curious to know the story between him and his mother.
What happened to these two? Why do they act so cold to each other even though they dream about each other?
It was obvious they missed each other. But it didn’t seem like they wanted to acknowledge that they did. And Eden found it rather puzzling.
Eden brought up his palms to Eden’s forehead, soothing his forehead as he gently brushed his palms against it. Hoping to at least calm Elvis down.
His other hand still held onto Elvis’s other hand which he transferred energy to.
"It’s okay..." Eden muttered while soothing his forehead with his other hand. "It’s okay..."
Soon, Elvis subconsciously brought up his other hand that was free and held onto Eden’s hand that were on his forehead.
Eden stiffened. He watched as Elvis’s hand gripped tightly against his hands, holding it firmly as though it was a hand that was about departing from him soon.
"Don’t go..." He muttered. Eden heard it "Don’t leave me..."
Eden felt his heart melt. Melting at those words, at that face and at those hands.
He stared at his face while Elvis held his hands tightly like a kid who didn’t wish to let go of a mother.
He casually sat there, watching Elvis slowly calm down while holding onto his hand like a teddy bear. And soon, he slept peacefully.
And Eden did too later on.
********
Eden was the first to wake up.
He felt his neck stiff as he lazily opened his eyes.
His head was resting by the side of Elvis’s bed, both his palms still chained to Elvis’s.
He certainly wasn’t in the best position and as a result felt stiff with cramps. And he was also weak.
He couldn’t tell why he had woken up so weak and exhausted like one who had stayed up all night riding a man or something.
He slept. So shouldn’t he be energised?
"Ouch..." He softly uttered as he slowly brought up his head. His neck was stiff from the terrible sleeping position and his hands were stiff too.
He couldn’t feel his body for a while. And he had to go through the pain of stretching them out - even pulling his palms away Elvis’s possessive grip.
He stretched his neck and hands in pain. And soon it was fair, but not completely fine.
He looked around the room and then looked at Elvis who was still asleep.
He was still tired and he was sure he didn’t sleep with Elvis. So what was it?
Eden ran a hand through Elvis’s forehead, he was looking better than previous night. So at least his efforts weren’t in vain.
"At least you’re better" Eden stared at him. "Or should I hasten up the process?"
He thought. If holding hands all through the night was this effective, then a kiss would be a sure deal, right?
It was a more direct approach. So Eden figured it might work better.
And so he did try.
Eden leaned in and placed his lips over Elvis’s mouth. Pushing in for a deeper kiss that could potentially let energy pass through his mouth and directly into Eden’s body.
But thirty seconds into the kiss he was initiating, he didn’t feel any energy running through him. Talk more of any entering Elvis.
"Huh? What’s wrong? Why isn’t anything entering?" Eden thought in-between the kiss.
He was still leaning forward towards Elvis, his lips over Elvis’s lips as he kept pushing in for a deeper kiss. With the hope that something magical would spark.
But nothing.
His brain went through possible reasons as to why nothing was happening while still kissing Elvis. And before he could break off from the kiss, he felt Elvis’s mouth move.
Shocked, Eden immediately pulled backwards. Seating down and glaring at Elvis whose eyes were still shot.
Was he still asleep? He thought as he stared at Elvis’s face.
"Do you still have the urge to take advantage of me even when I’m sick and unconscious?" Elvis asked as he slowly opened his eyes.
His lazy eyes fixed on Eden who sat there staring at him.
"...."
Eden blinked.
He guess he was awake after all.
