Chapter 377: Chapter 377: Kaizen vs. Hisoka – The Fight That Ends!
Two figures stood before Hisoka.
One was Natsu.
The other was Raiken.
Kaizen knew that Hisoka must have gathered some information about him. That’s why he had chosen Raiken as one of his combatants.
Killer Queen.
Kaizen was keeping that one hidden, which would make Hisoka even warier.
Hisoka’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he observed Natsu and Raiken.
Natsu, in particular, was a complete unknown to him.
"A new Nen Beast?" Hisoka mused, licking his lips. "Looks promising."
Even though Natsu hadn’t fully unleashed his aura, Hisoka could still feel its presence.
As for Raiken, he had encountered him before—a brawler reminiscent of Uvogin.
And Hisoka had no particular interest in Uvogin.
But the mystery surrounding Natsu was enough to thrill him.
What kind of ability does this Nen Beast have?
Hisoka studied Natsu and Raiken before turning to Kaizen.
"Shall we begin?"
Kaizen nodded. "Go."
With that command, Natsu and Raiken charged at Hisoka simultaneously, while Kaizen kept his distance.
As autonomous Nen Beasts, they didn’t need him to be close to function.
"Natsu is an A-rank Beast. Raiken is B-rank. Let’s see how they fare against Hisoka."
Kaizen assessed the battlefield.
"Hisoka is no weakling."
In the original timeline, Chrollo spent six months preparing before he managed to take down Hisoka.
Natsu struck first.
Flames engulfed Natsu’s fist as he lunged at Hisoka.
The heat and force of the attack were palpable, but rather than fear, Hisoka’s excitement only grew.
"Not bad."
He twisted his body and narrowly avoided the punch.
Then, with a flick of his wrist, two playing cards shot forward.
They spun at high speed, razor-sharp with Hisoka’s aura.
"Whip!"
Raiken reacted instantly. His arm turned to liquid, striking the side of the cards with precision.
Snap!
The cards, still coated in Hisoka’s aura, lost their momentum and tumbled to the ground.
Hisoka’s eyes widened slightly.
"Interesting..."
He had underestimated Raiken. He had assumed the brawler was a simple Enhancer brute, but this ability proved otherwise.
Bungee Gum.
A mass of pink aura formed in Hisoka’s hand before latching onto Natsu—and the large tree beside him.
Inspired by chewing gum, Hisoka’s signature ability had both elasticity and stickiness.
With Nen of the same level, breaking free was nearly impossible.
But instead of struggling, Natsu yanked hard.
"Boom!"
The tree was uprooted and swung toward Hisoka.
Hisoka’s eyes twitched in amusement.
...
Two more figures stood beside Kaizen, observing the battle.
One was Altan.
She carefully analyzed the fight, breaking down Hisoka’s patterns and the strengths and weaknesses of both Nen Beasts. Her goal was to construct a strategic model for countering Hisoka effectively.
The other was Chitong.
Kaizen wasn’t entirely sure he could defeat Hisoka, but Chitong’s presence was a safety net.
His ability was... broken.
Unlike Hisoka, who enjoyed injuries and playing with death, Chitong’s power was absolute. If he struck, it was over.
If Hisoka chose to attack Kaizen, he had two options:
Sense the danger Chitong posed and keep his distance.
Underestimate him—and pay the price.
Hisoka never avoided non-fatal attacks. In fact, he welcomed them.
Back in the Yorknew arc, he had even let Feitan slice him up just for fun. But if Chitong landed a clean hit, he wouldn’t walk away from it.
Kaizen watched the battle from afar.
"Hisoka’s strength really is impressive."
"Even with Natsu and Raiken working together, he’s not struggling."
"His Bungee Gum is more versatile than expected. Even Rashomon couldn’t fully counter it."
Both Natsu and Raiken were brute-force Nen Beasts, but raw power alone wasn’t enough to overcome Hisoka’s tricks.
For such a simple ability, Bungee Gum had countless applications in Hisoka’s hands.
Kaizen silently acknowledged Hisoka’s skill.
But what he didn’t know was that Hisoka was reevaluating him, too.
Natsu had been an unexpected factor.
Raiken had shown unexpected skill.
And more importantly, Kaizen hadn’t even revealed all his Nen Beasts yet.
Hisoka’s grin widened.
"What other creatures does Kaizen have?"
"How strong are they?"
"What kind of surprises will they bring?"
"I can’t wait to find out."
Hisoka had originally rated Kaizen at 83 points.
Now, that number had climbed past 90.
And it still wasn’t the limit.
...
Raiken launched himself into the air, fist cocked back.
"Bang!"
Hisoka dodged at the last second, just as Raiken’s punch cratered the ground.
Natsu inhaled deeply, his chest expanding.
"Dragon’s Roar!"
A searing inferno erupted from his mouth, engulfing the battlefield in flames.
Hisoka’s eyes sparkled.
This was getting fun.
