Chapter 558: New Understanding.

The things he was thinking about were things that he already knew. But when he learned them, he was weaker with a limited mind. So he thought that he understood them.

But now he was gaining a new understanding of them. He was experiencing an epiphany that enlightened him to the structure of reality and his place within it.

Within his mind, the runic structure of the teleportation platform floated as a mysterious hologram. But as he thought of the previous knowledge that he knew, the pieces of knowledge fell onto the hologram in his mind and solidified it.

The knowledge were pieces of a puzzle, and the hologram was the bracket with the slot the pieces must fill. But as more pieces of the puzzle were slotted in, the puzzle itself changed in shape and structure.

It was changing because it was no longer becoming mysterious. He was beginning to understand it, so it solidified. and became clearer in his mind.

The speed at which he was gaining understanding became faster and faster as the virtual copies in his mind joined in in helping him reach a conclusion. Unfortunately, no matter how much progress he made, the quest to solidify the hologram seemed to be endless.

So there was no end in sight no matter how much he tried. But he didn't stop trying to pursue the truth that his mind was about to touch upon. He just couldn't stop at this stage.

He was like a gambler, and the big payout was just a single move away. He had already invested so much, and the reward seemed so close, so he continued to invest more and more. He invested every ounce of mental power that he had until there was nothing left to invest.

Eventually, he became so lost in his thoughts that he stopped speaking to Roar. He stood frozen in thought, and his mind wandered as he tried to grab hold of the elusive truth that was just beyond his reach.

He even reached his hand to grab it. As he did so, his thoughts began to burden his mind and soul. This made him slow down until he froze.

His thoughts sped up, but his mind slowed down. It was a paradoxical feeling that he didn't notice at all. He also didn't notice that he stopped moving and stopped breathing.

His energy circulation had stopped. Everything he had was being funnel through his mind to pursue the end of his enlightenment and completely solidify the hologram in his mind.

Roar already noticed that something was wrong when Arthur stopped moving. But when Arthur even stopped circulating mana and the core within his body stopped rotating and even began dimming, he knew that something was wrong.

This made Roar begin to panic. He called out to Arthur, but Arthur didn't respond. He didn't know what to do, so he rushed to the only people that he knew could help Arthur.

He rushed to the council hall to call the Patriarchs. A few seconds later, two spiritual senses appeared from the council hall and descended around Arthur to examine his condition.

After confirming what was wrong with him, the two avatars became solemn. They took the situation so seriously that they left the council hall and came to stand beside him.

Lady Evergreen was shocked as she looked at Arthur. She couldn't believe what she was seeing at all.

She said to Thunder Drake, "I can't believe it. I have heard of this kind of thing in stories, but this is the first time I am seeing it."

She emphasized just how unbelievable it was by saying, "I am seeing it with my eyes and spirit, but I still can't believe it."

Thunder Drake, on the other hand, was in no mood to admire the sight. He growled and said, "He is not ready. We have to stop him."

She scoffed and said, "I can see that. You don't have to tell me. If there is something that you should tell me, it is that we should stop him because it is very easy to stop him. But the effects of interrupting him will not be so easy."

Thunder Drake didn't feel conflicted at all. He said, "We have to stop him, the consequences be damned, because if we don't, he will die. It is just too early for him to liberate his soul at this level. He is not ready."

She didn't disagree with him, but she still shook her head and said with some pity, "What a shame. It is truly a shame to cripple such a genius."

"To be honest, I am jealous of his genius. But I guess only someone like him can create a perfect core with two elements."

She seemed to have realized something, which made her say, "Come to think of it, the last person who was capable of creating a perfect core with two elements and even managed to do so was also a genius. Are everyone who can cultivate more than two elements geniuses?"

She was referring to Sword Flash. From what she knows, he was the one and only person that had the chance to cultivate both the Everlasting Wood Art and the Divine Lightning Armament.

Sword Flash turned down that path and chose to create his own. She doesn't know much about what Sword Flash's cultivation technique is about, but she knows that he fused at least the elements of metal and space.

It is clear to everyone that Sword Flash is a genius. But everyone thought that his situation was an anomaly.

Now she is seeing someone with the same potential to use more than one element, and he also turned out to be a genius capable of creating a fifth-grade technique to use to liberate his mind as an early gold core cultivator. Follow current ɴᴏᴠᴇʟs on novel·fire·net

This made her feel as if she were grasping something. She turned to Thunder Drake and asked, "Is it the potential to cultivate more than one element that makes them geniuses, or is it the fact that they succeeded in cultivating more than one element that makes them geniuses?"
