Chapter 581: Second Round of Investment.
The main consolation is that the people he had offended were his peers and were unlikely to have advanced to the fourth mortal coil, so they will be powerless to harm him now even if they are angry with him and want revenge.
The second consolation is that even if he has offended some people at the fourth mortal by doing things like killing their disciples, these people are unlikely to do anything to him since he comes with the full authority of the Blood Skull, bearing goodwill from his sect.
As he thought of this, he said to himself, "Surely they won’t kick the gift horse in the mouth by doing something to me that might risk the ire of the Blood Skull sect."
Then he shook his head and said, "If they do, they will be sealing the doomed fate of their sect."
At most he expects to be harassed and given the cold shoulder by some people when he gets to the Purple Flower sect. He doesn’t expect anything worse than that because the situation that the Purple Flower sect is in is precarious.
With their current situation, if they offend the Blood Skull sect, they will never win the war with the Red and Blue Fire sect. So he expects that anyone who is blinded by anger and wants to harm him will be besieged and condemned by the whole Purple Flower sect.
If the authorities of the Purple Flower sect don’t protect him from danger and let one of their own harm him, then he is sure that the Purple Flower sect will be in big trouble because the Blood Skull sect will avenge him.
When he said to the disciples that if they needed to fight, the Blood Skull sect wouldn’t let them fight alone, he had meant it. He had even only said it because that’s what the Patriarchs decided and what the array spirit had told him.
This gave him the confidence to go ahead with the mission that required him to enter the lion’s den of some of the people he has offended over the course of his unruly short life.
He chuckled and said, "It was a fine time, though. If I had a choice, I would do it all over again."
Whenever he thinks about his past, he can’t help but be amused about the things he did. The memories of his escapades also made him thankful that he gained admission into the Blood Skull, not the other ones.
After thinking about this for a while, he thought about his plan to increase the pool of fate he draws from by helping more cultivators.
He was thinking about his idea to run a lottery and set up inheritances everywhere. What made him think about this right now was the presence of so many people from the Red Alliance on this ship.
Most of the people in the Red Alliance are grateful to him for establishing dojos all over the Five Veins region. Even if they are not grateful to him, that won’t stop him from receiving feedback from their progress.
So the Red Alliance can be considered as the pool he draws feedback from for his Fate Binding divine ability. If he is to focus his efforts on a certain group of people to help them, it would be wise to focus his efforts on the people of the Red Alliance.
Already, the help he gave them is monumental to their lives. If not for his dojo, many of them wouldn’t have gotten the opportunity to enter sects. So no matter what happens in the future, he will be entitled to at least 50% of the credit for their success.
This makes them a prime pool of people to help since the more they advance, the more he will get from them. Instead of helping cultivators who don’t need his help, it will be better to help people who wouldn’t be cultivators if not for him.
When he thought of this, he thought of what had happened earlier when he helped the shopkeeper by giving him a cultivation technique that he had no need for. This gave him the idea to use the cultivation techniques that he stole from the Milton family to help people.
He has a lot of techniques that were looted from the Milton family. They are plentiful enough to use to set up inheritance, but they had just been lying all along.
However, rather than set up inheritances all over the Five Veins region, he decided to give the techniques to the people of the Red Alliance. He also decided to run a lottery and use it to help the people of the Red Alliance too.
He still hasn’t given up on setting up inheritances all over the world. That will enable him to help a wider range of people. But he doesn’t have the time for that now.
For now, he will focus on beginning a second round of investment into the Red Alliance.
After thinking about it, he said, "I should also help the Red Alliance of the other sects. I should start with the ones in the Purple Flower sect."
He planned for the future in the privacy of the cabin. When he wasn’t planning, he was doing research and teaching the formation breaker.
He spent the journey doing these two things. This was for almost ten hours before they reached the Purple Flower sect.
When their flying ship reached the territory of the Purple Flower sect, they were received by a golden core elder who had been waiting in the sky for them.
The golden core elder was a woman with purple hair, pale white skin that looked as smooth as those of the petals of flowers, and piercing purple eyes.
Her look was normal for someone from the Purple Flower sect. Most of the people from that sect looked like that.
But this normal look was strange-looking to the people of the Blood Skull sect because she lacked tattoos covering her entire body. This signified the lack of an armament in her foundation.
