Chapter 64: Chapter 64 Bad feelings.

Back in the room, the two men were tastefully dressed to kill. Xylander wore a vintage shirt with shorts and sneakers.

Daniel, on the other hand, wore something different: a red long-sleeved, backless shirt. His sleeves bore flowery designs that made it even more appealing. Below his waist, he wore baggy trousers, this time in white, followed by white boots.

He turned to the mirror, happy with what he saw. Oh, beautiful couldn’t describe it well.

It was stunning.

Xylander, who had been ready for minutes, was waiting for the latter to finish. But as he stood there, it seemed the preparation would never end.

"Dan!! Are we going to the party or not? Let me just lay back on my bed; it’s been over 45 minutes now." Xylander groaned, pacing around in boredom.

He busied himself with his phone, making secret arrangements for another round of surprises for his hubby.

"Oh, Xyle, don’t mind it. It’s just this button on my back. I can’t seem to close it," Daniel complained from his dressing counter, still struggling to reach the back of his dress. He realized it was fruitless—there was no way his hands could reach that far.

"You should have said so earlier. What’s the point of having me here if you’re going to stress yourself?" Xylander poked. Before Daniel could process his words, his domineering figure was already there, blocking the entrance to the counter.

"Need help, babe?" Xyle asked, his eyes flashing over the glamorous outfit that showed Daniel’s high taste.

Impressive!! Xyle muttered.

Daniel’s jaw nearly dropped. Xyle was so smoking hot. Gosh, the shorts he wore packed his assets as a man in place, presenting them seductively clear to his gaze.

Was he trying to seduce him now? And those muscular thighs, the way they bounced when he walked, did nothing to help Daniel’s wild, running thoughts.

Just how long had he been standing there? And why was he staring at him that way, as if he wanted to devour him on the spot.

"Hmm, are you just going to stand there? Help a boy with his clothes," Daniel urged. Xyle grinned mischievously before stepping closer.

Daniel turned, and his back, as smooth as ivory, shone under the light. Xylander swore he gulped down an invisible lump in his throat.

"Damn, you’re so sexy, hubby," Xylander praised, and he wasn’t the only one who thought so; his pants twitched incredulously as he watched the display.

Daniel just smiled. He tucked his hair to the side, giving Xyle a better view of his back.

Xylander’s hands shook. He didn’t want to close any damn button. He just wanted to look at this flawless skin, to lick it raw while massaging it with his hands. He slowly raised his hand, needing to feel the skin, to rub it this minute, or his mind wouldn’t be at rest. But Daniel turned the moment his fingers were about to graze the skin.

"What’s taking you so long? Can’t you do it?" Daniel questioned, wondering why Xylander’s hands hadn’t yet touched the fabric. He hadn’t felt a thing.

Xylander stuttered, shaking his head as he tried to explain, but Daniel smiled.

"Oh, Xyle, haven’t you seen a person’s backside before? And we just had sex. So please, complete my outfit, and let’s go to our wedding party," Daniel requested, monitoring Xylander’s expression. He was right; the man was still thirsty for his body, which wasn’t new. What else could he expect when he called a sexually active man to button his shirt?

Okay, let him do this his way.

"So, Xylander, you want me, don’t you," Daniel shamelessly uttered, and Xyle flushed red once again.

What?!

Daniel was marveled by his reaction. They had just freaking had sex; he shouldn’t be that embarrassed. And what was this ’they’? As if they weren’t married and couldn’t literally see each other naked.

"No.. it... It’s not what you think," Xylander’s words broke as he tried to present them, but Daniel was already close to him—so close that their breath was felt by either of them.

"Your dick says otherwise," Daniel replied bluntly, pointing at the bulge accentuating his shorts.

There was no helping it this time; Xyle’s face turned a deep shade of red that Daniel worried he might explode. Why would a grown man be this adorable?

"Okay, I’ll fix your button," Xylander finally accepted. He was the one who had caused his own troubles by visiting the dressing counter and proposing to button the shirt. He never knew it would turn out like this.

Daniel smiled slyly.

"I have a present for you after our wedding, Xyle. You’ll have the best night of your life. Just be ready with all your stamina," Daniel promised, and Xyle tugged a dangerously sexy smile at his lips. His face turned more radiant and happy than when Daniel had met him earlier.

So it closed. Daniel got his shirt buttoned, and he was happy that he had made Xylander happier than before.

"Now you’re ready to rock the party," Xylander announced, and Daniel rolled his eyes. Yeah, he was ready. The party was never any good without him there.

"So, can we go now?" Daniel asked.

Xylander nodded, and they walked out of the room with Xyle’s hand placed across Daniel’s waist.

On the way to the elevator, Daniel suddenly stopped.

"Did you hear that?" he asked no one in particular, but Xyle knew he was the one being questioned.

Xylander turned and listened with rapt attention, but heard nothing. Everywhere was silent and quite serene.

"I don’t hear anything," Xyle confirmed, and Daniel shrugged.

"I thought I heard the sound of metal scraping, like a knife. It disturbed me," Daniel muttered.

Xylander drew him closer. "You’re safe, don’t worry," he assured him.

But Daniel hadn’t forgotten how he was attacked on this floor; if not for intervention, he would have been killed.

"What about the person who almost killed me previously? Wasn’t I safe then?" Daniel was in doubt. Something told him that if danger came, Xylander might not be there for him. He didn’t rely on anyone except himself, so why should he start now?

"That intruder? Don’t worry yourself. He is suffering deadly consequences for daring to harm my groom. So don’t fret too much," Xylander declared, taking Daniel’s hand and entering the elevator.

The elevator dinged and went down.

Just as they left, two figures slipped out from a corner.

Cassian and Titania.

"What do we do now?" Tania asked.

Cassian’s face twisted with cruel intentions.

"Bring the boss his trophy and get rewarded," he deadpanned, stroking his dagger as he headed in another direction with Titania.

"And remember, Tania," he added, "no matter what you do, leave the billionaire guy for our boss. He will be the one to gut him alive."
