Mysterious Journey
Chapter 48: You're Looking for a Toad, What's That Got to Do with Chocolate Frogs?
Turning his head to look at the two young wizards in the carriage exchanging food, their eyes gleaming with the light of poverty, Harry felt the Galleons in his pocket burning hot as if they were on fire.
"Madam, what kind of food do you have here?" Harry asked.
"Oh, dear, there's so much, it's all right here."
After being turned down repeatedly, the plump witch was noticeably warmer when she finally saw hope with the last young wizard. She hurriedly pulled out a product list and handed it to Harry.

Harry took the product list and glanced at it quickly. It was almost all strange and unusual food that he had never seen before. The boy thought for a moment, handed the little list back to the plump witch, took out a handful of Galleons from his pocket, and said briskly, "Hello, I've decided. Please give us some of everything."
Then, under the worshipful gazes of Erina, Ron, and the conductor, Harry carried a large pile of food back to the compartment and dumped it all in one go on the empty seat next to Erina (Ron was sitting next to Harry at this time). He smiled shyly at the小伙伴s in the compartment and said, "Let's try some together. I can't eat all of this by myself."
Before this, Harry had never shared anything with anyone, and no one had shared with him. Now that he had the opportunity to sit with his peers, enjoying the snacks and pies he had bought, Harry felt great.
*Burp*
"Don't worry about me, I'm not hungry yet."
The silver-haired loli gave a helpless burp, waved her hand with reserve, and picked up *Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1* again.
To prove that Mrs. Weasley's sandwiches were indeed delicious, Erina had to bite the bullet and finish all the sandwiches. She had dug the pit herself, and she had to jump in, even with tears in her eyes.
It had to be said that although the taste was not flattering, Mrs. Weasley certainly put a lot of love into the quantity. After eating four big sandwiches, Erina felt that she could almost hold on until the opening feast in the evening.
"Alright."
Harry nodded and didn't insist. He couldn't wait to pick up a Cauldron Cake and stuff it into his mouth—he hadn't eaten anything all morning and was already starving. Ron, on the other hand, followed suit and took a Pumpkin Pasty, eating it with a Ferrero Rocher chocolate.
Don't look, don't look, don't look…
Erina focused her attention on the *Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1* in her hands, muttering softly, trying to ignore the two guys in front of her who were like starving ghosts being reborn, making non-stop slurping sounds.
"What's this?"
At this time, Harry picked up a pentagonal box with "Chocolate Frog" written on it and asked curiously, "They're not real frogs, are they?"
"It's just been enchanted."
Ron shook his head and replied indistinctly, while trying to swallow the food in his mouth, and continued, "Actually, most people buy it just to collect the cards. Each pack has a card of a famous witch or wizard. I've almost collected five hundred cards. Now I'm just missing Agrippa and Ptolemy."
Enchanted chocolate?
Harry curiously shook the small box in his hand and couldn't wait to tear off the seal and open the box.
Croak, croak—
As the box opened, a Chocolate Frog wriggled its body from side to side. Before Harry could reach out to grab it, the Chocolate Frog kicked its legs hard and jumped out of the box, flying straight across the seat.
"Careful!"
Ron's eyes widened and he loudly reminded Erina, hoping she could dodge in time.
*Thwack!*
Before Ron's voice could fall, a crisp sound of collision rang out in mid-air.
Erina raised her head and looked at the dark shadow flying towards her. She calmly closed the book and slapped it down hard with her left hand, gripping the spine. The Chocolate Frog, which looked fierce, fell to the floor with a thud.
"Oh, how unlucky. I forgot to remind you that it jumps very hard the first time after opening the package. What a pity."
Ron glanced at the chocolate clumsily crawling on the ground and said with regret. It looked like it couldn't be eaten…
Before the thought could finish in his mind, a tender white hand accurately grabbed the Chocolate Frog's body and pinched it up.
"It doesn't matter. Haven't you heard of the three-second rule?"
Erina gently patted the dust off the Chocolate Frog and said indifferently.
"Three-second… rule, what's that?"
Ron frowned and repeated Erina's words, asking in confusion.
Erina smiled slightly and was about to answer.
Just then, there was a knock on the door of the compartment. A little girl with thick brown hair walked in. Like Erina, she had already changed into her Hogwarts school uniform.
"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost a toad," she said. Although she was asking for help, her tone was a bit arrogant and dismissive.
Without a doubt, the last member of the original golden trio, Hermione Granger, the magical forbidden book catalog of the Harry Potter world, had finally appeared. Although she hadn't been through the troll incident, her personality was still a bit disobedient at this time.
Erina raised her head when she heard the sound and looked at the door expectantly, and her eyes lit up, relieved.
Good, she isn't black. Judging from her appearance alone, she was at least over 90% similar to the little actress Emma Watson from the previous life's movies. To be precise, Erina felt that the little beaver seemed even cuter in terms of appearance. Maybe it was just an illusion.
But according to the original plot, Ron should be performing a spell in front of Harry at this time, trying to turn his rat Scabbers yellow. But because of Erina's appearance, Ron still didn't seem to have any intention of taking his broken wand out of his trunk.
From Erina's point of view, there was even less intention to cast a spell to provoke that dangerous and obscene wizard who had transformed into a rat. After all, she was just daring and reckless, not stupid and suicidal.
Peter Pettigrew was different from Professor McGonagall. Erina had no doubt that a villain like him, who could do anything to save his life, would transform back into his original form and go on a rampage once anything threatened his life.
Therefore, Erina didn't plan to actively try to confront Peter Pettigrew head-on until she was completely sure.
Anyway, whether Ron's spell failed or little Hermione successfully showed off her academic prowess in front of Harry Potter and Ron, it didn't matter to Erina. She just wanted to be a spectator silently at this moment.
The silver-haired loli narrowed her eyes and happily took a bite of the Chocolate Frog in her hand.
*Crunch.*
The crisp sound of chocolate echoed in the small compartment. The three of them turned their heads to look at Erina subconsciously.
The girl held a headless brown Chocolate Frog in her hand. Its right foot twitched weakly a few times and gradually stopped moving.
"You!" Little Hermione's eyes widened subconsciously, and she covered her mouth with her right hand in horror, her face alternating between green and white.
Erina looked at the three people blankly, blinked her eyes, and muttered, "Harry, Ron, she's asking you questions. Why are you looking at me? Haven't you seen someone eat a Chocolate Frog before?"
As she spoke, the girl continued to calmly chew, chew, chew—Neville lost a toad. What does that have to do with her Erina eating a Chocolate Frog?
The train compartment suddenly fell into a strange silence, with only the sound of Erina nibbling on the Chocolate Frog little by little.
*Crunch, crunch.*
