Chapter 269: I Made a Date with a Handsome Guy for Dinner

Sawyer had to admit, this woman with looks as alluring as a Siren was the only one who could portray Amelina in his heart.

After signing the contract, even though Sawyer wasn't fond of dining out, he extended an invitation to Aurelia Shaw to stay and eat out of courtesy.

But Aurelia Shaw declined.

"I've got dinner plans with someone else."

Sawyer: "..."

She walked out of the private room.

Amanda Fuller asked Aurelia Shaw, "Did you have plans with someone else tonight?" She thought they were only meeting with Sawyer.

Aurelia Shaw replied sheepishly, "A friend of mine. I dragged you out shopping all day but didn't treat you to dinner. I'll make it up to you another day."

Aurelia Shaw took out the packed meal from the counter that she had arranged earlier and handed it to Amanda Fuller.

Amanda was surprised, taking it.

So it was packed for her.

Having been away from home for so many years, she had never met anyone who cared for her like this.

Amanda Fuller's heart felt a tinge of sadness.

"You didn't need to pack a meal for me. As your agent, I should be responsible for your private life too. I should accompany you on outings to avoid any accidents, and besides, you pay me a salary."

"Paying salary is one thing, this is separate. Take it, I still need you to drop me off at Cloud Pavilion Garden later."

Amanda didn't object further.

The car stopped in front of Cloud Pavilion Garden, and Amanda asked from the car, "Do you need me to wait for you?"

"No need, you can head back." Aurelia Shaw waved at her, carrying her things inside.

She took the elevator up to the eighth floor, just about to use her key to open the door, when suddenly there was a sound inside, and it opened with a click.

Aurelia Shaw froze for a moment.

Ursa Miller's fresh and innocent face appeared behind the door. Upon seeing Aurelia Shaw, she smiled brightly, almost jumping with joy, "Young Madam, you're finally back!"

Aurelia Shaw glanced at her, seeing how happy she was, and didn't bother correcting her address, walking inside.

Ursa eagerly took the things from her hand.

"Young Madam, you haven't stayed here for a long time."

"Have you been living here all this time?" Noticing Ursa's embarrassed expression, Aurelia Shaw added, "I was worried you might feel scared living here by yourself. The maids at Nightshade Residence have all been replaced and are quite nice. If you don't like staying here, you can always go back."

Ursa shook her head, "No, I'm fine staying here. I wouldn't be comfortable leaving Young Madam's house to someone else to clean."

Aurelia Shaw smiled and said no more, letting her be.

Walking into the bedroom, she carefully placed the brush she bought into the drawer and changed into more comfortable clothes.

Ursa's voice came from outside, "Young Madam, are you eating at home?"

"No..." Aurelia Shaw was about to refuse, but recalling Ursa's delighted expression when she first came in, she hesitated for a moment and changed her mind, "A friend will be coming over. Prepare for one more person."

"Okay." Ursa's voice was noticeably cheerful.
