Chapter 248: Lillian White Instigates

Cymbeline Jennings glared fiercely at Aurelia Shaw and said in a low voice, "Hmph, you're really impressive. You better not regret what you said today!"

She then turned her gaze to Mason Nightshade, "Mason, you've really changed. You're making Aunt very upset, and if your mom knew, she would be heartbroken too."

Cymbeline Jennings' words were directed at Mason Nightshade, but in reality, they were meant to threaten Aurelia Shaw.

Seeing Aurelia Shaw's calm expression without any hint of panic, urgency, or remorse, a feeling of disappointment and unwillingness surfaced in her heart, and she grabbed Eleanor Spencer and left.

"Satisfied?" A deep voice rang beside her ear, the warm curve brushing across her earlobe, tickling slightly. Aurelia Shaw raised an eyebrow, "Isn't this what you're supposed to do? The unwanted attention was brought by you, even a celebration dinner can't be peaceful."

"..." Mason Nightshade was stunned in place, suddenly feeling he had made a mistake again. However, he did unwittingly ruin her celebration dinner, but… why did he feel her expression seemed happy?

Mason Nightshade went to get the car, while Aurelia Shaw waited at the door.

The sound of high heels clicking approached from afar.

Eleanor Spencer no longer showed the soft and gentle demeanor from earlier, her eyes full of malicious provocation, "Don't think that just because Nightshade brother protected you today, he really likes you. To tell you the truth, Nightshade brother told me beforehand not to bother with you, saying after all you're his nominal wife and he has to give you enough face in public. But behind your back, the two of us…"

Eleanor Spencer gave a knowing smile.

Expecting Aurelia Shaw to be ashamed and angry, she looked up to see a calm, emotionless face, even the corners of her mouth carried a mocking smile, as if looking at a clown.

"I truly pity you; do you really think this will successfully sow discord?" Aurelia Shaw stepped forward, her cold breath spraying on Eleanor Spencer's cheek, "If you're going to act, do it realistically. How can you with so many holes? Don't you know there's a mirror on the left side of the hall reflecting everything that just happened between you and Mason Nightshade?"

Eleanor Spencer's face looked grim.

Aurelia Shaw's lips curved slightly, Mason Nightshade's car was just driving over, his cold gaze swept over Eleanor Spencer's figure, making her shiver and she dared not stay longer.

Aurelia Shaw opened the car door and got in.

Amanda Fuller watched the direction where Eleanor Spencer was leaving and turned to ask Aurelia Shaw, "Why is this woman haunting you endlessly? She didn't cause you any trouble, did she?"

Aurelia Shaw raised her eyebrows at her, "Do I seem like someone who would suffer a loss?"

Amanda Fuller shook her head vigorously, thinking to herself: No! Definitely not! Having spent time together, she'd come to understand some of Aurelia Shaw's temperament. She doesn't initiate trouble, but if trouble finds her, she certainly won't let it go unchecked.

What to do, obviously she's arrogant and flamboyant, yet Amanda feels Aurelia Shaw is so cool, what's going on!

It's over, she's too deeply poisoned.

Mason Nightshade glanced back at Aurelia Shaw, recalling what happened earlier, still worried she might misunderstand, "If you find it bothersome, I'll make sure those two never appear in front of you again."

Aurelia Shaw was playing with her phone, not lifting her eyes, her tone lazy and indifferent, "No need, you're quite used to attracting these butterflies and bees; I'm used to dealing with them."

Mason Nightshade's fingers tightened on the steering wheel, "From now on there won't be anything like this happening again."

After a pause, he added with a deepened voice, "I promise you."

Aurelia Shaw saw a new message on her phone, clicked it open, and responded to Mason Nightshade with a slightly lazy tone, "If you really mean it, then sign the divorce agreement."
