Chapter 479: A truly vicious move

Chapter 479: A truly vicious move

"Absolutely." Damon nodded. "I do not have the resources or the financial backup or the manpower to achieve something like that. At least not right now. It would take some time for me to do all that but if you enter the ring, then everything would change. I can speed up the process quite a bit. Its not like I can conquer the entire light continent on my own."

"Entire light continent?" Hinata gasped.

Damon only shrugged, calm as ever. "Eventually."

Hinata wanted to say that no one in their right mind would even think about something like that but she refrained from speaking her mind. "Okay. I think I can get my family to agree to this."

"When you are talking to them, leave out the part where I boasted about conquering the entire light faction continent." Damon laughed.

Hinata couldn’t help but chuckle. "You are a strange man, Blood God."

"That I am. So how long do you think that it would take to convince them? Should I wait for you or should I leave?"

Hinata shook her head. "It will take a while unfortunately. An hour at the least. If it was just my personal troops, I can gather them in a jiffy but to use the family’s backing and strength, it would take at least an hour or so to make sure everyone is at their best and ready for war."

"Okay. Then I will send someone here to escort you to the light faction continent. You would first have to arrive at our outpost which is quite a distance from here, at the border of the demon lands. I am assuming you can manage to do that?"

Hinata nodded. "That shouldn’t be a problem. We have several talented mages on our side."

"Then everything is settled. I will see you soon in an hour or so."

Hinata gave a firm nod. "We’ll be there. You can count on me."

Damon responded with a smile. "Thank you." He then activated his Blood Gate and opened up a portal to the outpost. "I am actually heading over to the outpost right now. If you want, you can send a man with me now."

Hinata quickly contacted someone and before the Blood Gate completely materialized another vampire appeared. Damon stepped into the portal, along with the elven girl, followed by the vampire.

Getting out of the vampire territory wasn’t all that problematic. His Blood Gate worked just fine and he was at the outpost in the blink of an eye. It was getting into the vampire territory that was a lot more troublesome thanks to the many defense mechanisms. Otherwise, he could have directly used this skill in the first place to easily enter the Crimson Mountains.

The other vampire looked around the outpost curiously. Damon did not bother to linger. "We will be going in first." He informed the vampire and then took the portal at the outpost to step back into the light faction once more.

Now the real show was going to start!

As soon as Damon arrived, the first thing he did was check on his personal messages and the local chatter. Immediately, his face changed. It looked like the other side had beat him to it.

He was only thinking of one city when he had talked about conquering the neighbours but the super ten actually ended up taking three of them. Not only had they locked him up in space but they also went above and beyond to make sure that the blood hall lost this battle.

It was a truly vicious move!

"It was a good thing I called Hinata over." Damon grinned. He stepped right back into the portal, surprising the vampire on the other end. He then took a communication crystal which Hinata had given him. It was her person communication crystal.

Damon filled her in on everything and slightly changed the details of the meet up. With a few other instructions, his job was done and he once again took the portal with a satisfied smile. This should take care of one of the cities. As for the other two...

He already had a couple more people in mind.

He opened his system screen and went to his friend list. Among his many friends, he selected one person, someone who would probably not contact him on his own if left to his own devices.

Necro God.

"Such a bigass ego on such a little kid. I wonder if he will even pick up my call."

Unexpectedly, the call connected on the first ring. "Blood God, why are you calling me?" Came an arrogant voice.

"Okay then. I will cut the call."

"Wait. Wait." Came out a frazzled response. "It’s fine. Just tell me what you called for?"

Damon chuckled. Behind all the act, it looked like the guy was desperately waiting for him to make the first move. Now the question was why. Damon shrugged and casually continued, "The last time I checked you were low on gold coins. How about you do a little something for me and earn some gold in return?"

Instantly, a sneering voice sounded on the other side. "You need me to help you out in the raid battle, right?"

Damon’s face twitched. There was no point in talking to this kid after all. He was about to hang up when the kid hurriedly spoke out again. "Wait. Wait. I am in. I will do this."

Damon couldn’t believe what he was hearing. The arrogant little brat full of attitude was agreeing just like that? What was going on?

"I need something in return."

"Oh?"

"Ahem. I need more of your poison. Can you do it?"

It was Damon’s turn to sneer. "Of course. You got it." Now he understood why the guy had been waiting for him to call and why he was so eager to cooperate. He must have used his poison and observed its effectiveness first hand!

"I need fifty bottles, no hundred bottles." The kid quickly blurted out.
