Chapter 283: So, can you work them tails?
"I can’t believe this! I-I’m back at full strength! I’m no longer in that child’s body anymore!" Kurami also could feel that she was stronger than before, and it felt as if her limits had been broken.
"How did you do this?" Kurami wanted to know if this was something she could learn so that she could use it on her people to help them out. If all of them were stronger, then they would have a better chance of beating the demon lord here in the spirit world.
"My dad is a god, and he gifted me a lot of abilities, this being one of them."
Normally, Kai’s girls would but in and say that he’s just bullshitting and doesn’t wanna give the actual reason, but now they can’t do that anymore since they have met Kai’s dad.
Kai said this on purpose as well, turning around and giving all of them a good smirk, which clearly agitated them.
"Wait, hold on, you’re a demigod?!" Barry already knew that Kai was a hero who slayed a demon king, but he didn’t know Kai was a demigod as well.
"By birth, yes, but by power and abilities, no. I was born human, like the rest of you. My dad didn’t want me inheriting his divine powers. Why? Because he’s a bitch, that’s why."
’I’ll literally drag your head across a fucking carpet!’ Leo shouted in Kai’s mind.
’Do it, pussy!’
"No wonder you are able to make people stronger via copulation." Patty giggled
Kurami’s ears perked up. "What was that? You can make people stronger through copulation?"
"Women. Only women. I’m not into...sword fighting." He had to clarify what Patty meant in case Kurami asked him to lie with fucking Carolus or something like that.
"That’s an amazing ability."
Kai smirked. "I know. So, now that you’re at full strength, tell us what we need to do. The faster we get this over with, the quicker we can leave."
"There are four spirit orbs in each corner of the spirit world. The orbs act as a balancer to keep each tribe from declaring one is better than the other. Our fox tribe rules while the four orbs are given to the other four tribes. However, the demons have taken it and are using it for their own gain."
Kyana asked a question. "What do these orbs do?"
"The orbs amplify the power of everyone in their vicinity. This meant that each tribe was most powerful in its own land."
"And what happened to the other tribes now?" Kai wondered
Kurami motioned to the base they were in. "Everyone is in here, a slave, or dead. The demons built outposts around the spirit orbs to channel their power."
"Okay, what do we do after getting all of them?"
"I will use their power to amplify my own so that I can once again bring the spirit world under the influence of us spirits."
Kai thought that was cool and all, but there was something that he didn’t understand.
"If you can do that, then why didn’t you use this method when you were attacked?"
Kurami understood Kai’s question. She lost the first battle, yet there was something that could increase her power. It would be foolish of her not to use everything she had to protect her people, but she had her reasons.
"The warriors of each spirit tribe needed the strength to protect their people. If I used the spirit orbs, then I would have been cripiling them."
"I guess that’s understandable."
Kurami sighed, sitting back down, and rubbed her temples. "We just need the crown. With the crown, I can wield all orbs together, but it was lost during my battle."
Kai remembered the crown in his possession and pulled it out. "You mean this?"
Kurami’s eyes lit up. She didn’t know how Kai had the crown, but she was glad that he did.
"Yes! That! How did you find it?" She quickly snatched it from his hands and rested it on her head.
"Found it when we were searching the islands for clues about the spirit world, when we just arrived in this dimension."
"This will make things a lot easier. After we have the spirit orbs, we can attack the main demon base right away! Let’s go over our plan!"
Kai and the others had just arrived there, and they were given no time to wind down and relax. But it was understandable. These people were desperate and were fighting a losing battle.
Having two heroes in their presence, combined with the leader of the spirits getting her full power back, it wasn’t a surprise that they would jump at the opportunity to reclaim what they lost.
"We’ll split off into five groups," Kurami explained. "Four groups will head to one of the spirit orbs and reclaim them. There will be heavy resistance, but I’m positive victory will be achievable with our new allies. The fifth team will attack the main base where the demon lord is currently residing. There, we will attack and weaken their forces until all the spirit orbs are delivered to us."
The plan was pretty simple, but it was still a good plan. Divide and conquer. Classic battle tactics. With Kai being here, the plan was going to work as well. He could do everything by himself, but that wouldn’t be fun, besides....
"Guys, this is totally a synergy moment!" Kai cheesed, getting all excited.
"Ugh!"
"No!"
"Please, don’t start."
"I swear if you say that again!"
"Kai, I love you, but you’re starting to make me upset."
Even when the synergy wasn’t his doing, they still didn’t like it.
"I don’t get it." Cornelia was left confused by their reactions, thinking it was some sort of inside joke or something.
Gwen rested her hand on her shoulder. "Don’t worry about it. It’s better if you are left blissfully unaware about this."
"You guys are acting like I treated you all like slaves or something. I was just helping you get stronger."
"You worked us like animals!" Sasha complained
"To help you all work together better." Kai defended himself.
"We had to get up before the sun was out and only finished after the sun was gone. We got like 4 hours of sleep max!" Kyana hated thinking about those days and really wanted to punch Kai in the face.
Kai had to admit that getting so little sleep was a crime. "Okay, okay, that was a bit harsh, but it paid off. Now you don’t need to go through that rigorous training anymore."
"Let’s just get this shit over with so we can leave." Nadya left the room, followed by Gwen and the others.
"Wait! Kurami didn’t even explain who would be working with whom yet!" They didn’t even bother to respond to Kai. "Guys? Come on, guys."
