Violet listened to everything the man said. She already new her answer. She would do anything and sacrifice everything, even if it meant sacrificing body, to get her daughter back.

"So, you will get my daughter back? You will take out that godforsaken pack who took her from me? You sure you can do that." She tried the hint of hope in her voice, but he noticed it.

He had her right where he wanted her.

"I am the power of a god in flesh, so to speak." He realized he wasn’t in flesh; he could only be seen in his like this inside the mind of his host.

His words reminded her of her Odette

She was a goddess in the flesh as well.

Her chest felt an ache followed by emptiness whenever she thought about Odette. The constant agony was unbearable for her. and she wouldn’t feel true relief until she had her daughter back.

And this man was dangling relief right in her face, and he was feeding off all her agony and misery.

"There’s nothing I can’t do, nothing we can’t do, together." He said reaching out his hand.

She hesitated. Everything about this felt wrong. But she couldn’t stop herself. Her hand reaching out.

When she touched his, she felt a jolt shoot through the center of her body.

Swirls of darkness gathered around her, wrapping her, incasing her, tightly closing in around her.

"What’s happening?" Violet asked, her voice shaking. Alarms ringing.

"We are becoming one, my dear, and to do that, I must take the driver seat. Why don’t you sit back, relax and watch as I make all your dream’s a reality." His voice wasn’t smooth anymore.

It was haunting, dripping with the sound of something ancient something evil.

"No, no, this isn’t what I agreed to!" Violet shouted, thrashing in the dark sarcophagus that was entombing her.

"This is exactly what you agreed to. To host me, host my powers, give me your body. In exchange I will bring you your daughter and get vengeance for you. That was the deal." He said firmly.

"Who are you?" She growled.

"Now you think to ask?" He chuckled "I am Ezelreth, the DarkSon, son of Cerberus, God of Death and Darkness."

Reality settled in, and she understood now. What this had cost her. What it truly cost her. It wasn’t just her body; it was control over it.

Violet was now trapped inside her own mind. Forced to watch as the devil himself walked in her skin like it was made for him.

"Your thirst for blood and vengeance called to me. That’s how I was able to find you. You opened yourself up to me, don’t act surprised." He said to her.

She was furious.

"Don’t worry, I’ll let you out from time to time, I too will need rest, this isn’t my body. At least not yet. I need to gather my strength if I’m going to force you out and make it entirely my own." His laugh cut her deeper than his words.

The slick calm man that made the deal had turned into an evil, sinister bastard.

"Now, let us, make our army." His face soured and he oozed murderous intent.

She noticed her body moved faster, it felt lighter, and even though she wasn’t in control, she still experienced everything firsthand. The sensation was unlike anything she’s ever felt.

They made their way out of the forest, she felt herself tiring, she needed to feed. Sharing her body with another soul was taxing on her energy. They looked around, finding a few houseless people sitting by a fire, just off the city limit.

A twisted grin stretched across her face. And she strolled up to them, walking with the seduction of a succubus and the confidence of a queen.

The 5 men turned to look at her mesmerized. Her long pink haired flowed effortlessly behind her. Her eyes glowed a crimson red. She was the perfect image of power and elegance.

"Would you boys like to change your life tonight? Become a part of something bigger than yourselves?" Her voice sounded like hers, but there was a dark undertone to it, leaving the men nervous. But her beauty kept them frozen in place. Enchanted by her.

They nodded, despite everything in these men telling them to run, they couldn’t.

They wanted to change their life.

But this wasn’t going to be the change they’d hoped.

She had them hypnotized, her eyes drew them in. She strutted toward one, grabbed him by the back of the head, bringing his lips inches from hers and then drew in his life, his heart was racing, beating wildly in his chest. but his thoughts blank, his eyes far away. She started drawing everything he had from within him. Feasting on his years of pain. He convulsed, shaking under her grip, before the light in his eyes faded out and his skin hollowed, clingy to the bone. His mouth stretched wide, and his jaw hanging slacked to the side. His skin turned ashen. Letting him fall to the ground with a thud. One by one she drained all five men of their life force, leaving an empty shell of a human.

"Now watch, I know you’ve made one before, but these are different, these are Turned made by me. These are powerful, and much harder to kill. They will be the first in our army." He said to her.

She obeyed. She watched.

They started to twist and twitch on the ground before sitting straight up and rising from the ground.

They had fangs to long for their mouths. Eyes the color of the blackest night, empty and dead inside.

The sound that left their mouth was spine chilling and blood freezing. It pierced her ear, and though her body didn’t flinch, she did internally.

She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Just yesterday she wouldn’t have looked twice at them, but now being separated from her body, from him. Her mind and heart were clearing up.

But she was powerless to stop it, powerless to help them.

Held hostage in her own body.

And to think, this was only the beginning.
