Chapter 199: story time pt 2
"The Goddess Artemis couldn’t stand back and watch as her fellow god destroyed their world. Even though Cerberus was her other half, and he was the god she loved most. She couldn’t stand by and do nothing. Artemis took action, she followed the same steps Cerberus took, she stripped a piece of her soul and placed it inside a pregnant girl. Being the sentimental goddess she is, she picked a woman related to the love of Ezelreth’s life, his balance. As Artemis was for Cerberus.
"That girl was Valoria, Lilith’s daughter with Adam.
"Valoria give birth to Omara, the MoonChild. And like her counter, Ezelreth the DarkChild, she too, was an energy vampire. But when she fed, people felt peace and happiness and contempt.
"The God Juniper and Goddess Apollo declined to transfer souls the way Artemis had; but insisted that Artemis use their power to create new beings. To bring balance. Until now, they had refrained from interfering, but the Fae had started disappearing, vampires and humans were multiplying and fighting for control. The world needed balance, and a fighting chance against Cerberus and Ezelreth.
"Artemis decided that dedicated followers would be given the chance to transform into shifters.
"Her most devoted follower, one who had not forgotten her love for Cerberus, to be her first shifter. She named her first shifter, Onyx, he was a black wolf who’s fur glistened with the gold of stardust, eyes that glowed like the sun. He was a tall, magnificent beast. He became the leader, the first Alpha King, Nicholai Romanoff. His people she turned into the first shifter pack. Born under the blood moon, she cleverly named the BloodMoon Pack.
"These first shifters were shared pieces of the all three god’s direct power; these wolf shifters would only reincarnate into the descendants of those who were still born inside the pack. And though she would create other packs, these shifters were special.
"The next shifters she created were feline, empowered by Juniper, her people formed the TerraJuniper Pack and controlled the earth. Raptor shifters, powered by the sky, formed the LunarEclipse Pack with dominion over the skies.
"All shifters were tasked with protecting their domains, reading for war against the darkness. While Onyx/Nicholai were specifically charged with finding and safeguarding Omara, the Moonchild. His goal was clear, and he would not fail her.
"Onyx and Nicholai searched for years on end, before finally finding Omara. But what he found was the shell of a girl. She had lived a hard life. Her stepmother Eve was an evil woman who abused her, hurt her, and hated her. She had white hair and white eyes, she exactly like Artemis, yet somehow a little different.
"She feared herself and her abilities. She was told she was cursed. People ordered not to touch her or let her touch others. They feared her, just as much as she feared herself. All that changed when Onyx found her, he made her feel seen.
"Onyx trained her, helped her gain control over her abilities, she could heal the sad and broken, she could move things with her mind, control and manipulate the elements. He taught her how to fight and how to read. He prepared her for what he knew was coming. She learned about herself and who and what she was.
"She was an energy vampire. The daughter of the moon. And her destiny was to destroy stop the DarkChild and bring balance back to the world.
"One day Omara met a man Kristian, during a training session late at night and she fell in love with him instantly; but he was a vampire. Yet, even knowing that, it didn’t stop her. It was this love; she had an idea. Without knowing her lineage, without knowing she would be meeting with her mother’s half-brother, she set out to make the first alliance between the shifters and the vampires.
"Omara allied with Vlad, but secretly made a deal, she promised her lineage and those who branch out would produce pureblooded Maidens, who would marry pure-blooded the pureblooded vampires. With the promise of an heir to Vlad, he agreed to back her in the upcoming war.
"Vlad had no idea, that by making this deal with Omara, he would be betraying his own father.
"Lilith had left for some time to search for her daughter Valoria, in hopes seeing her would help sooth her broken aching heart. However, when she caught wind of her sons joining a war, the war she knew her beloved was starting, she couldn’t stay away and let her children stand against this threat alone. Stand against him.
"She knew what they were facing, and she was terrified. Not just of what could happen, but of facing Ezelreth once more.
"Lilith met with Omara, the Moonchild, and to her surprise this girl looked exactly like Lilith, but with long snow white hair and eyes white like ice, Lilith instantly felt the connection when their eyes locked, recognizing her. She felt the blood bond. This wasn’t her daughter. But it was her granddaughter. She was pure blooded, yet somehow different from her son.
"Lilith kept this knowledge to herself. Not wanting anyone to find out, if Ezelreth knew, he would come for her, not just because of who she is, but because Omara was related to Lilith.
"Lilith knew his weaknesses, his secrets. She knew the real him, the one he buried deep down inside. She knew she could get them in. With combined forces of shifters, vampires, and witches they led an attack. Lilith lured Ezelreth from his castle. Leaving him vulnerable and open. They used this opportunity to attack him. But as a the son of a god, they were no match for him. Life after life perished under his claws. And at the hands of his army of beasts and monsters.
"Onyx and Omara searched tirelessly for a stone powerful enough to trap the soul of a god. Finally, they found a something, not of this world, powerful enough to maintain the pressing power a gods soul contains. Because as a god his soul can’t truly die, it can only be contained.
"When Onyx and Omara arrived at the scene, the battle was bloody and violent. It was devastating seeing bodies with missing organs and limbs. Monsters devouring the intestines of a shifter on the ground or drinking the blood from a vampire. It was gruesome and sickening. The battlefield was now just a graveyard.
"They found Ezelreth and fought hard. Omara used every bit of training she had. Onyx destroyed Ezelreth’s body, tearing his limbs off and eating his heart. Omara used the rest of her energy and took his life energy, but instead of devouring it, she bound his soul to the fallen star and buried it deep within the earth. Artemis placed a special spirit to guard until she would be needed again, after all nothing can stay trapped forever. History always repeats itself. Life always finds away.
"After the war, Artemis blessed the shifters with the mate bond, taking a piece of each wolf’s essence and placing it in another. Artemis gifted the vampires with more affinities and abilities they didn’t have before, and the witches gained the ability to wield not just wield the elements like the Fae but create magic of their own unique only to them. She wanted to reward all their efforts in defeating her dearest one. Though she missed him terribly, Cerberus still would not see her, or any of their counters, and this only hurt their once unshakable love more.
"Artemis new one day history would repeat itself, but she wanted to try and prevent history from repeating, and with the help of the gods, they blurred memories and erased all evidence knowledge from this world. Except for this book.
"If you have found this book, that means you have found the one person in this world I tru..." The Leviathan stopped for a moment, he couldn’t believe what his friend had to say, "I trust with the truth, the snake of knowledge, the Leviathan. If this book appeared to you the time has come again, his army has resin and history has come back.
"P.S. Leviathan, don’t be a condescending jerk they’ve got a rough battle on the horizon. Help them out.
"P.S.S. To those whom this may concern, your memories will start clearing and coming back, the spell they used was tied to this book. Sorry in advance for the massive headache and nausea and random hot flashes that you are about to undergo."
The Levithan shut the book, and the room felt airless, like all the oxygen was ripped from the room. It was cold and so quiet the sound of a pin dropping would echo like a scream.
