Chapter 2449: To Be Disabled.
If they had a choice, the ability that they would have disabled was the rank 7 Restore and Revive divine ability instead of the Aegis Shield. If they could do that, the demigod undying would be dead completely, instead of being back for another round.
Unfortunately, they could only complain about this. But they didn’t even do this because they were impressed with Restore and Revive divine ability and were even happy to see it in action.
This was because they had the divine ability too. So the more impressive this divine ability proved itself to be, the happier and more satisfied Legion was.
The demigod undying, on the other hand, was far from satisfied with his current situation. It had been more than a hundred years since he last died.
At that time, he had offended a judge, who then proceeded to burn him alive. Now he is experiencing the same thing again. So he did the same thing he did last time that he died. He decided to escape.
Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t fast enough. Legion created many bloody limbs that encircled the demigod undying in an attempt to ensnare and bind him.
Even before they succeeded in restricting his movement, Legion was already preparing to strike him down with the main attack weapon.
The bloody limb that they used earlier was still intact. In fact, it had grown stronger after absorbing the scattered flesh of the demigod undying. So it was more than capable of killing the target again.
Of course, they still needed to disable the Aegis Shield. If they don’t do that, most of the power of the attack will be blocked and redirected onto them.
And because of the rank 4 Absorption Body divine ability of undying godclads, the target will be able to use the power of their attack to recover. So they have to disable the Aegis Shield again.
They wanted to use the Disable divine ability again, but this time, the demigod undying sensed the danger ahead of time. In order to escape them, he used his rank 8 Invisibility Shield divine ability.
This might have worked in a normal situation. But it didn’t work now because Legion was equipped with the rank 4 Information Identify divine ability.
Legion saw him clearly, so they weren’t fooled at all. Their blood limbs grabbed the man and bound him. Then the Disable divine ability took effect on him through contact.
His Aegis Shield was already flaring in resistance because of the squeezing of the blood limbs. The blood limbs were squeezing him so hard that without the Aegis Shield, his body would be broken and he would be crippled.
The Aegis Shield was able to resist the squeezing of the blood limbs and keep the demigod safe. But once again, it failed to resist the Disable divine ability and disappeared.
The disappearancd of the Aegis Shield made the demigod defenseless and opened him up for abuse. Legion was quick to take advantage of this weakness to attack the man.
One hit later, the demigod was shattered to pieces. Then Legion got to work preventing him from healing his injuries by absorbing what was left of his body and using the Bleed divine ability to prevent him from healing.
While they were doing this, they also began working on disabling the Restore and Revive divine ability. They chose to do this instead of trying to enslave the demigod like last time.
If they had been able to enslave the demigod, killing him would have become very easy. But their attempt failed because the demigod revived. So this time, they wanted to prevent him from reviving.
In order to achieve this, they used the disable divine ability to disable his divine abilities and also used the Imprison divine ability to cripple him completely.
As usual, the divine ability that they wanted to disable was the Restore and Revive divine ability. But this divine ability was behind the protection of the rank 2 Reflector Shield, rank 3 Armor, and rank 8 Invisibility Shield.
Only the Invisibility Shield divine ability can work without the Aegis Shield, but the other two can still form a layer of protection around the Revive and Restore divine ability. So Legion would have to disable all of these divine abilities before they could get to what they wanted.
It was a tedious requirement, but it was one that they could achieve. After all, they had all the time in the world to disable as many divine abilities as necessary.
The demigod, on the other hand, could do nothing but remain as a helpless mass of wriggling flesh trying to regenerate. So Legion was confident that this time, they would be able to get what they wanted.
But things didn’t work out the way they wanted because the tides turned again after they disabled the three divine abilities blocking their way to the Revive and Restore divine ability.
After they had disabled the three divine abilities, the Revive and Restore divine ability activated again. So the demigod recovered and was as good as new.
His situation was still bad because he was still in the same room with the person who had killed him twice. But at least he had another chance to make a break for it.
Instead of running and activating the Invisibility Shield like he did last time, the demigod chose to liberate his divine form first. This gave him a large boost to his physical power.
He even activated the phantoms of his divine form and layered them on top of his body for protection. Only then did he decide to run.
Unfortunately for him, despite the boost to his power, Legion was still stronger than him. It was very easy for Legion to bring him down and bind him again.
However, because of the extra protection on his body, Legion would have to do more work before they could kill him again. They would have to do nine times more work to be exact.
