Chapter 65: Get Him Pregnant

The scent of cherries and blue berries hit my nose as I arrive at Mother’s garden. I haven’t been here in so long the nostalgia is almost crippling.
I walk into the vast space sprawling with fruits and flowers that are Mom’s favorite color. Blue.
Blue berries, cornflowers, blue stars and so many that I do not recognize.
The scent is almost choking, but the sight is quite the reward.
I walk faster to the middle of the garden, and there, under a massive red apple is Mother. She’s sat on a bench with a maid feeding her... grapes, and another on the floor reading some book to her.
She looks up at me and as our eyes meet, a flicker of excitement bounces across her eyes.
"You’re finally here!" She breathes as she takes her legs off the bench and scoots over to create space for me to sit.
I take a deep breath before reluctantly walking over to the only person in the world who seems to know exactly how to get under my skin with fire ants and iron sponges.
"Privacy!" She orders, and immediately, all the maids around excuse us.
Once there’s no one in sight, Mother turns to me and her smile drops as her pale grey eyes study me.
"Why has it taken you so long to come see me?" She demands, and I swallow.
"If your father didnt send you here, you wouldn’t come?" She adds, and I stare at my mother who’s glaring at me.
She knows. She knows I’m avoiding her. She knows I don’t like being here or around her. I’d rather be anywhere else than her. She knows this. Yet she tries to deny it. Either that, or she just doesn’t care.
"Were you waiting for one of those jokes to knock up some Omega and ruin our chances of ruling BeastHeaven??" She pushes further and I shut my eyes as I turn away from her.
"I’ve been busy." I lie, and there’s silence.
Silence that only lasts a few seconds, and then she scoffs.
"Busy." She repeats, and I don’t dare look at her.
"It’s okay. I’ve been busy too." She replies, and I slowly open my eyes, wondering why she means.
"I got you an Alpha." She then states and my head snaps in her direction in utter shock however, she’s looking at the goblet in her hand instead of at me.
"We’ve been working on him for the past few months. He’ll be able to give you an heir. Now that you’re here, you will bed him every chance you get till he gives me a grandchild." She continues and suddenly all I can hear is my heart panting in my ears.
"Wh... what?" I question in horror and then she looks at me.
She smiles a terrifying smile before leaving close to me and caressing my cheek with one hand.
"My precious boy. I know you’ve gone soft. I know you agreed with Wilhelm’s other sons to buy that Omega so Koda could get him pregnant and become the next king." She whispers, and my eyes widen in fear.
How... how does she know this??
"I’d rather set fire to this entire kingdom... than watch any of those boys ascend the throne in your stead." She adds, and I feel my blood run cold as she pulls away from me.
"It’s good you brought the thing here." She says again as she sips from her goblet.
"At least now that he’s here with you, you can rest assured none of them will knock him up before you return." She adds, and I feel cold sweat break out along my forehead and back.
I watch her stand up and flip her hair ever so casually.
"Your pet’s name is Bram. He should be waiting in your room by now. Use him however and whenever you want but you must get him pregnant." She orders and I blink in horror as she starts walking.
"Mom." I call out to her in panic as I shoot to my feet, and she stops.
"Male Alohas can not get pregnant." I state in worry, and she chuckles dryly.
"I know that, Rhydian. That’s why we worked on him for months. Bram has a healthy, working womb. Carrying your litter of pups wouldn’t be a problem." She replies and my body goes cold in horror.
He... has a healthy womb?? What?? How?! What does she... what does she mean by...
"Mom..." I begin, but she cuts me off.
"Get Bram pregnant before your Father calls you back to the Ashfang Estate. That’s all I’m asking. I know you don’t like it when I resort to threats, so don’t force me." She replies, and my mouth falls open.
I watch as she walks away and I feel my heart pounding in my chest.
What... What just happened?

My knee keeps bouncing as I stare at Master Elián. He still hasn’t woken up. He ought to have by now.
What’s taking so long?
I need to talk to him. I don’t know what Alpha Lindria is planning but I know things would be better if Master Elián wasn’t still unconscious.

Murk roots! They have that in abundance here.
It’s the most powerful detox herb I know. If I can make some tea out of it for him...
Ah! I’ll go out to get some. After he drinks tea made from Murk Roots, I’m more than certain he’ll come around.
I need him to wake up. We both do.
I’ll just rush to one of their gardens, find the herbs, and rush back.
What’s the worst that can happen?
Oh... right... Alpha Liandria.
I wouldn’t want to bump into her.
I know... I’ll just shift to my rabbit form, search around for the herbs, and when I get them, I can shift back to make the tea.
Easy peasy. My rabbit form should be able to help me move around faster and undetectable too.
This should be a breeze.
