Chapter 28: Discipline
Eliàn;
"Oh, master Elián. You’ve really gone and done it now. Alpha Rhydian doesn’t like omegas."
I feel my blood freeze up in my veins as Alana whispers those words to me.
"Wh... what?"
What does she mean he doesn’t like omegas?? Didn’t he buy me alongside his brothers??
"I asked a question." Rhydian’s voice comes again, and I gulp.
I turn back to him and find him glaring at Alana and me.
"Come here." He orders, and I look at the wounded men on the floor and him standing in the middle like an agent of destruction.
"Elián... you’re not deaf, are you!?" He snaps, and cold sweat breaks out all over me.
"I... I’ll go get help," Alana whispers behind me, and when I turn to look at her, my heart sinks when I see her running off.
Get help?!
I’m going to need help??
And... is she really leaving me here??
I turn back to Alpha Rhydian, and my heart starts slamming against my rib cage. Looking at how unhinged and bloody he is right now... Alana is probably right.
I probably do need help.
The fear that’s gripped my heart and spine is a pure indicator of this...
"El..."
I don’t let him complain again before I start moving.
I walk over to him and stand just a few inches away from him with my head hanging and fingers laced together in front of me.
"Good morning, Alpha Rhydian." I greet, and he scoffs.
"It was a good morning up until now." He says, and I shut my eyes.
Why is he being so mean?
I didn’t do anything.
I didn’t even make a sound, talk more of interrupting his... whatever this is, so how can he imply that I spoiled his morning??
"What are you doing here?" He questions, and I steal a glance at him only to see anger and disgust as bright as day in his eyes.
Wow!
Why is he looking at me like I have shit on me? Do I... do I have something gross on me?
That’s right, I just threw whatever on this morning and didn’t look in a mirror.
Do I honestly look that bad, though?
Bad enough to be stared down like I smell like dung.
"Are you done fucking my brothers? Bored of doing it already?" He speaks again, and this time my head snaps back as I glare at him in alarm.
"I heard Zephan was in your room last night. Spent a considerable amount of time there, and left in new pants... You’ve had a taste of one, and I’m your next target?" He adds, and my jaw drops.
"What... no... I... It’s not what you think. Nothing happened..." I begin, but he cuts me off.
"You omegas are truly slutty little whores, aren’t you? Fuck every and anything available as long as comfort and riches are offered. Have you no shame?" He says, and I freeze.
His words are a sting. A slap... A fucking smack across the face.
"Don’t you think it’s pathetic? When others work for power, all your kind has to offer to get a taste of it is to offer up their bodies." He says in a low, deliberately mocking tone, and I see red.
"No, you don’t fucking get to talk to me like that, Mister! You don’t know shit about me, and you definitely have no idea what I’ve sacrificed to climb any ladders in life!" I snap at him, and I know I should stop, but the anger burning inside me is too strong.
It feels like more than just my own anger. It feels like a combination of my hurt, my frustration... and anger from something deeper. Is this Elien??
"And it’s pretty rich of you to blab about working for power when you were born with a fucking golden spoon in your mouth! The big, bad Alpha gets to yap about how lowly I am when he was literally born into his wealthy daddy’s hands! Why don’t you try surviving the streets in the real world before talking down on Omegas and what we do to survive the world your shitty kind created!?" I add, as anger reverberates through every inch of me, and I watch his eyes widen in shock.
"I haven’t slept with anyone, and even if I were going to someday? I’d rather be run through by a train than let an arrogant, salty-tongued brute like you touch me!!" I add, and I watch his expression darken.
His pupils shift from their usual pale grey colour to gold, and my heart drops into my stomach.
"You little shit..." He growls, and as his lips move, I see canines in his mouth.
Shit.
Oh fucking shit.
My big mouth!
I take a step away from him as fear ties a noose around my throat
"What did you just say to me?" He demands in a viciously cold tone, and I gulp.
"I... I didn’t..."
"You’re a disrespectful little shit, aren’t you?" He questions as he moves closer to me, and the anger in his voice causes my stomach to twist.
"I didn’t mean anything I just said. It just..." I begin, but he cuts me off.
"You do not know how to keep your head low, you speak like you no longer value that loose tongue of yours, and now you dare disrespect me? Of all the people you could pick to fuck around with... You chose to mess with me!?" He yells, and I jump in fright as I shut my eyes.
Every ounce of anger I felt just a few minutes ago escapes me, and I’m left with cold, crippling fear.
"How dare you talk to me like that, you worthless piece of shit!?" He screams, and a whimper escapes me at the pure hatred and anger in his voice.
Oh, I’ve done it.
I’m dead.
I’m fucking going to die.
He’s going to kill me.
"I’m sorry..." I whisper, and he scoffs. I look up at him, and he scowls at me before turning his back on me.
There’s a massive tattoo on his back. A sigil of some kind... I stare at it as he walks away from me.
"Get me a chair!" He yells, and some of the men run off.
They soon appear with a chair, and he takes it from them. He sits just a few feet away from me, and crosses his legs as he cracks his knuckles.
"You’re a wild one, Elian. It’ll be my joy to teach you some manners." He says, and my eyes widen as I stare at the massive man who’s relaxed in the chair like he’s about to watch a show. What is he going to do to me?
He looks at the 12 men who are now lined up beside him, and my hands start trembling.
What’s he about to do?
What do I do?
How do I salvage this??
"What happens to unruly omegas?" He questions, and I gulp.
"They’re disciplined, Alpha!"
"And ones who run their mouths too much?" He questions as he looks at me with a smug smirk, and my heart dies in my chest as I get a sense of what’s coming next.
"They’re punished, Alpha!" The men chorus again, and Rhydian chuckles darkly.
"Teach him a lesson. Make sure he thinks twice before ever running that filthy mouth of his again." He orders, and I turn to ice.
"Don’t stop until I say so."
