Chapter 145: She Wouldn’t Dare

Chapter 145: She Wouldn’t Dare

Bram;

I stare at Alpha Liandria, and it’s taking every ounce of self-control in me to refrain from laughing.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen!

A whole ass Queen, dressed in rags, locked behind bars like a rabid dog!!

Where’s all her grandeur and pizzazz??

"What are you looking at?" She questions, and I come back to earth.

"Oh, I... I was feeling bad for you. How can King Wilhelm do this?? You’re his wife? How much longer will he..." I begin, but she cuts me off.

"Oh, stop the charade! I’m not a part of your audience. I want to have a conversation with the real you, not this pathetic wimp front you’ve put up." She cuts me off, and I stare at her in silence.

My face contorts into a smirk, and I walk over to the extravagant chair in front of her cell. The one I know belongs to King Wilhelm.

I sit in the chair and cross my legs as I stare at the woman who’s staring at me with wide eyes now.

"Okay, Liandria. Why did you send for me?" I question, and she scowls at me.

"Have you lost your mind!? Get off that seat!" She scolds, and my brows crease.

I stare down at the chair, and then back at her. I pout as I bat my lashes at her.

"Or else what?" I whisper in mock fear, and she exhales in shock.

"Alpha Liandria, forgive me if I overstep... but I think you have forgotten the situation you’re currently in," I add with poisonous sweetness as I let my eyes maintain the doe-eyed innocence I use whenever I want something.

"You’re a prisoner now. You are now no different from the horse kept in the stables... Important to the owners... But not important enough to matter too much. You’re insignificant now, Alpha. Even Omegas have the freedom you’ve lost." I continue, adding the last part with a small laugh, and I watch anger flood her eyes.

"What then makes you think I would fear a queen whose crown has fallen?" I demand, and her jaw drops.

"You bastard! How dare you speak to me like that!? Do you think I will be in here forever!? You’ll be done for when I get out!" She growls, and I shake my head in disagreement as I lift a finger.

"No, sweetheart, I’d be done by the time you get out," I reply, and her brows furrow as she stares at me.

"What... what do you mean by that?" She questions, and I shrug.

"I mean, I’d be done with Rhydian. Before you get out of here, I’d be carrying your grandchild. What will you do then?" I taunt her, and she visibly freezes.

I chuckle at her reaction and stand up to stretch as I’m enjoying this.

"Didn’t see that coming, did ya?" I mock as I turn back to look at her, and she’s glaring at me.

"The plan is to be aborted." She says, and I pause in confusion.

"I don’t want you to carry Rhydian’s child anymore. I will give you whatever amount of money you want. So much gold you wouldn’t even be able to hold up. Whatever you want. Just leave my son. He’s had enough. State your price and the hell out of my son’s life." She adds, and I stand frozen as I stare at her.

A small, shocked chuckle escapes me first... and then it explodes into full-blown laughter. Laughter, I can not for the life of me control.

Look at this fool!!

"How cute! You still think your opinion matters??" I demand in amusement as I stare at her, and her brows furrow as she stares at me.

"You think... you’re still the one calling the shots?!" I laugh harder as I buckle over and hold onto my stomach.

"You’re hilarious! Wow! Now I know where Rhydian gets it from. The stupidity is blood deep!!" I laugh harder, and I have to hold on to the wall to maintain my balance.

"Ugh... I can’t breathe!" I wheeze, and she just watches me with fear and confusion on her face.

"What do you mean?! What’s funny? Why are you laughing?! I will give you whatever amount you..." She begins, and this time I cut her off.

"This has gone beyond money, Liandria!" I spit, and she jumps at the sudden switch.

"Money can not give me what I want. I stopped playing your game a long time ago. This is my game now. My rules. My goal. All... mine." I add, and she stares at me with her mouth agape.

"I will admit, when I came to you... When I agreed to work for you... It was for the money. I just wanted the money. But then I saw him... and I knew... I wasn’t doing this for the money. No, fate put me here to achieve a purpose." I explain, and she scoffs in disbelief.

"What purpose?? What purpose could you possibly have for Rhydian??" She demands, and I pause.

"Ay... Keep up, woman. This has nothing to do with Rhydian. He is just a means to an end. I need him to get what I want. Power. Power to help me squash who I’m after. Once I have what I want... You can have your son back." I reply, and I watch angry tears flood her eyes.

"But you’re hurting him!!" She rages, and my face scrunches in confusion.

"And?" I question, and her eyes widen.

"Do I... look like I care?" I push with a shrug, and she shakes her head slowly in denial of what she is seeing and hearing.

"You... You..." She begins, and I nod as I turn my back to her.

"I know... I’m amazing. You’re the one who delivered your son into my hands after all. You told me his weaknesses and how to tie him down emotionally. In truth... this is your fault. Whatever... pain.. Exhaustion... whatever the fuck is wrong with him... You caused it. You’re such a bad mom. Yuck." I mock with an accomplished smile as I stare at her, and suddenly, I watch resolve flood her eyes.

"You’re right. I caused this. And I’ll fix it." She says as she stands up, and my brows crease. Why does she look so confident?? What’s going on in her mind??

"What are...?" I begin, and she cuts me off.

"Wilhelm, Rhydian.... I will tell them. I will tell them every single thing, you disgusting little slug." She says, and my heart falls into my stomach.

She wants to what!?

No. She wouldn’t dare!

Telling them the truth... won’t just take me down. She’ll go down as well.

She’s not willing to do that... is she!?
