Chapter 334: Chapter 333 Leaving
Charlotte Smith pursed her lips, her gentle voice a bit tense: "Miss Ginger, please don’t joke about this!"
Daisy Ginger observed her expression and detected her displeasure from the slightly colder tone than usual.
She tilted her head and laughed a few times.
Intentionally, she said: "Why do you think I’m joking? If someone deceives both your body and heart and nearly drove your family to bankruptcy, wouldn’t you resent him to the core?"
Charlotte’s little face turned slightly pale, her expression stiff, "The second young master... the second young master just likes you, he didn’t do it on purpose."
So Daisy Ginger asked again: "Just because he likes me, does that mean he can bully me like this?"
Charlotte was completely caught up by her, the more she explained, the more she felt Edward Stephens was utterly unforgivable.
She was not someone sharp-tongued; she was clumsy with words, how could she be a match for Daisy Ginger.
In the end, she could only tighten her lips, keep a straight face, and remain silent.
Daisy Ginger found it amusing and wanted to say a few more things: "Not speaking, are you admitting that I’m right? Then I..."
"What are you guys talking about?"
Behind them, Edward Stephens had returned with the coffee.
Daisy Ginger turned around, reached out to take the coffee that Edward handed over, and smiled at Charlotte: "Just joking, right?"
Charlotte pursed her lips, not picking up Daisy’s comment, glanced at Edward, moved her lips, but didn’t dare to tell on Daisy to Edward. She just stood up and said to him: "Second young master, I’m going to the restroom."
Edward glanced at Charlotte’s hurriedly leaving back, lazily sat down beside Daisy Ginger, took the coffee from Daisy’s hand, and took a sip: "Why did you provoke her?"
Daisy Ginger raised an eyebrow, "Feeling protective?"
Edward looked at her with a half-smile, "Jealous?"
Daisy Ginger turned her head to look into the distance, "What’s there to be jealous of."
She couldn’t possibly be jealous of him.
She didn’t like him anyway.
Edward observed her calm expression, lightly: "She’s quite good at fighting. If you push her too far, and she beats you up, you’ll be at the losing end."
Daisy Ginger didn’t believe it, snorted coldly: "Nonsense."
Charlotte’s slender arms and legs seemed to be even fewer poundage than hers, if they really fought, she felt she could win.
Edward, seeing her confident look, smiled.
The pile of messy issues in their family was better not talked about with her.
Outsiders indeed couldn’t understand the pathological nature of his family.
If possible, he really didn’t want to take her to the Stephens family, just leaving her in Banyan City, far away from control, she had plenty of ways to avoid him.
He was very clear she didn’t have any feelings for him, the emotions poured onto another man could be easily withdrawn from him.
Even saying it out loud, it indeed seemed unfair.
The same year spent together, on the contrary, he truly developed feelings for her.
Bleeding for her, compromising for her, and felt anxious for her.
But as long as he kept her by his side, he had his ways to make her fall for him.
Edward smiled faintly, his eyes deep and profound.
At twelve, the plane arrived on time.
Daisy Ginger entered the first-class cabin, lay down directly, and began to sleep.
The plane took off.
The slight rumbling woke her up.
She leaned against the window, turning her head to look at the city she grew up in.
Those people and things were forced to stay here, she felt like a plant plucked out by the roots and transplanted into someone else’s garden.
