Chapter 215: Let’s Go

Chapter 215: 215: Let’s Go

Eden paused, standing by the door side beside Adrian, as his eyes fell on Elvis, who had just dropped the tea cup on the table.

Elvis’s eyes were on him now. Locked.

It had been a while since they had seen each other. And now, having seen each other, the two stared at each other without much expression.

Eden hesitated and then looked at Adrian.

"What? You should be glad that the Crown prince came looking for you. So you should go with him already," Adrian stared at him. "He’s the one you’re the safest around, isn’t it?"

Eden stared at Elvis again. "What are you doing here...? How did you find...me..?"

Elvis sat there, hands on the table where he had kept his tea cup. His eyes were on Eden, whom he hadn’t seen for a while.

And for a while, he couldn’t help the feeling of relief that ran through him. He didn’t smile or anything, but his expression said it to some extent.

He had been searching for Eden for a while now, and although it was for the aim of bringing the captive back, he rather felt otherwise now. As though he had been searching for someone whom he was worried would be in danger.

While he stared at Eden, Eden turned to look at Adrian again. "Is this the gift? I was expecting gold though."

Adrian sighed. "You should be grateful I’m sending you back without having your head. That’s enough gift."

Eden pouted as he stared at Elvis. "How did you find me here?" He walked up to the table to meet Elvis. "I knew I could always count on you to find me. You’re so reliable." He sat down beside Elvis.

"I wasn’t the one who found you though," Elvis said, his cold expression still on.

Eden blinked. "You didn’t? Then why are you here? Weren’t you looking for me?"

"I was," Elvis now looked up at Adrian. "But he’s the one who told me you were here."

"..."

Eden blinked. "Huh?"

He looked up at Adrian, who was standing there at the side, both hands folded. "You told him that I was here with you?"

"Yes. I found out that he was clueless looking around for you all around the Kingdom. I took pity on his fruitless efforts and decided to help him out. So I told him to come and take you away," Adrian said.

"I wasn’t clueless," Elvis defended.

"Then I wonder what you were doing in the forest," Adrian said, his chin up.

Eden stared at the two young men. He was more than sure they weren’t on good terms at all. Adrian specifically didn’t like Elvis at all. So he didn’t understand why he would tell him where the wizard of EL is.

"But... " Eden got up to his feet and walked up to Adrian. "Why would you...?"

"Aren’t you happy?" Adrian asked. "He is someone who can protect you better. So I figured he should be the one you should stay with, at least."

Eden stared at him. "Are you for real now?" He never expected Adrian to be this considerate of them.

"But if you don’t want to go with him, you can tell me. I’ll make sure he leaves without taking you anywhere," Adrian added.

Eden wanted to leave with Elvis. It was a safer option for him. It was pretty much the best place he knew so far, even though the palace wasn’t safe.

"But are you sure you’re going to be okay with it? I mean..." Eden stared at him. "Aren’t you worried about losing me..? A potential gateway to your success."

Adrian stared at him and then smiled. "Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine. I don’t need your head anymore."

Eden blinked. He was rather shocked to hear that from him. "What? You don’t? Are you being for real now?" He was so excited that he held onto Adrian’s hands. "Are you agreeing to my deal?"

Elvis stared at him. He couldn’t help but stare at how "close" they had probably grown out of the bloom.

He didn’t know what they had been through or what happened before he arrived. But if there was something he could tell, it was that they had strangely grown close.

And he was uneasy about it.

Adrian stared at him. "I didn’t say anything."

Eden smiled. A bright and bubbly smile that was bound to make anyone melt. And it did make Adrian’s heart waver.

"You said you won’t have my head anymore, so that means that you agreed to the deal. It means we’re a team now, huh? You’ll help me, and in turn I’ll help you," Eden sounded enthusiastic.

He had finally won over Adrian, whom he felt would be difficult to win over. So the feeling of it made him feel over the mood. He couldn’t control his excitement, that he almost fell into Adrian’s arms.

Elvis got up to his feet alert as he saw the scene. "We should get going..." he said.

Adrian and Eden turned to look at him. Eden smiled as he walked up to him. "Sure. You must have been so worried about me, so of course I won’t keep you waiting."

Eden now stood on his toes as he pinched Elvis by the cheeks. "You’re always cute when you’re worried about me."

Elvis brushed his hands off. His expression was still cold. "I wasn’t worried about you at all. So don’t overthink it."

"I know you were worried about me. You’re just trying to be cool. Your expression says it all. You probably ran down here as soon as you knew I was here. How cute." He pinched his cheeks again.

This time, Elvis didn’t brush his hands off his cheeks. He left his hands on his cheeks as he stared at Adrian, who was staring at them with a cold expression.

"If there’s nothing, then we’ll be taking our leave. Thanks for your effort," he said as he turned to Eden, who still had his hands on his cheeks.

He pulled him by the finger. "Let’s go."
