Chapter 82: I can sleep with him

Chapter 82: 82: I can sleep with him

The Grand festive breakfast was over and they all took some sobering drinks and made their way outside.

They were all now outside the palace building, getting ready in their horses to set off.

Eden happily followed Elvis as they made their way out of the palace entrance to join the others who had gathered at the front of the palace.

"How was the meal? Did you like it?" Eden casually asked him.

"Whatever" Elvis mumbled. He didn’t seem to care as he walked.

"You must have liked it. You’re just acting all cool" Eden said.

"You’re lucky that you got away with your mischievous acts this time around. Next time, you might actually end up dead" He reminded.

"I’m not worried at all" Eden said "Because you’ll protect me" He enjoyed the tease.

Elvis sighed as he continued walking. He was so done with Eden.

Eden casually smiled while following him. He felt good about that morning. At least he had finally had a taste of what he had been craving for for a while now.

And he had also felt the feeling that he usually did feel while working at the bar. It was nostalgic. And he might have actually convinced some of those young men not to kill him today, right?

Well, except that Duke’s illegitimate son whom he was sure would want him dead.

"Crown Prince Elvis!!"

They all heard a girl’s whining voice as they all looked at the distance.

Cordelia had just gotten down from her carriage as she ran towards them. She had approached Elvis specifically.

"I came so I don’t miss your departure. I came to say goodbye to you" She stood before Elvis with a bright smile.

Everyone had already turned to their direction, bowing to greet the Imperial Princess who didn’t even care looking in their direction.

Elvis didn’t bother replying to her.

"I also got you this" She handed Elvis a red scarf "In case you feel cold in there, it’ll keep you warm. Especially when you think about me"

Eden rolled his eyes, cringing. He really didn’t like her character at all.

"Don’t worry, he’s not going out there naked. Of course he’s going with clothes" Eden said from behind, making some people laugh.

Cordelia glared at Eden who was at Elvis’s back. Eden winked at her.

"You.. you monster. Why is he still following you?" She asked Elvis "Why haven’t you killed off this monster?"

Eden shrugged.

"I don’t want to see him anymore. I don’t like him. Cast him away now" Cordelia demanded.

But Elvis stared at her "We don’t have time left. I have to depart now"

"But..." She still wasn’t done speaking as Elvis walked past him

She was pissed as she glared at Eden now "You, what are you still doing here? You should leave him. What do you want from you? What harm do you wish to bring upon him?"

"I’m not harming him" Eden said "I’m just sticking to him"

"Do you like him?" She asked out of the bloom "Do you like the crown prince?"

Eden raised an eyebrow "And what if I told you I liked him? What are you going to do?"

Cordelia was bewildered "You-! Aren’t you ashamed?! You’re a guy! How can a guy like another guy! It’s disgusting!"

"You’re disgusting" Eden snapped back "That’s why no one likes you"

"You.. shut up! Everyone likes me. You’re the monster that no one likes" She defended.

"Well the fact that The crown prince would rather sleep with a monster like me than even speak with you says a lot" Eden folded his arms, rolling his eyes.

"You -!" Cordelia was speechless "Why would he sleep with a fellow man! He’s not that type of person. You... you’re truly a monster trying to stain his name"

Eden stared at him.

She continued "You should be ashamed and leave him alone. He will never like a man! So stop trying too hard. He’ll only like me"

"Is that so? Then let the best contestant win" Eden smiled, winking at her.

She was pissed. "You..."

"But you’re not a man. So you probably have less opportunity to be around him" Eden shrugged "But since we’re both guys, don’t you think we can sleep in the same bed... And even share the same bathroom...naked..."

"....."

Cordelia was speechless. And so were people around who heard what he said. Especially Lysander who was just standing behind Eden.

His brain had started going places. Wondering what two men could possibly do if they were alone together...naked...

"You .." Cordelia was stunned.

"So if you excuse me, I have to go meet up with him" Eden said, about to walk past her.

"You can’t go" She stopped him "I order you as the imperial princess. You can’t step a foot near him. You can’t go to the haunting feast"

Eden glared at her "Your Imperial Highness, I don’t like getting provoked. If I do, I think bloodshed is enough to appease my anger"

It was a threat. And Lysander understood it well. He quickly stepped in to stop it all.

"Eden..." he called as he placed a hand around Eden’s shoulder while throwing Cordelia a smile "Let’s go"

"We have to leave, Your Imperial Highness" He smiled at Cordelia as he left with Eden, his hands still around Eden’s shoulders.

Cordelia stood there, fuming in annoyance "This jerk! I’ll tell daddy about you! I’ll make sure daddy makes you pay!"

She stood there, whining.

Helen was pretty much out of the picture, so Eden guessed Cordelia was the annoying one he’d have to face now.

He already had enough on his table for such a hassle!

He casually wondered what troubles Cordelia was going to bring for him. Was she going to be a huge torn on his path, therefore having the novel push her as the villain now?

Or was she going to become as useless as Helen soon and slowly fade off?

Either way, Eden didn’t think he could predict this storyline anymore.
