Chapter 83: A Horse Ride

Chapter 83: 83: A Horse Ride

Elvis had already gotten on his horse along with some other young men. Each at their sides preparing with their guards.

They had come with their equipment for haunting and some survival stuff. And so they were preparing them for themselves since they wouldn’t be going haunting their guards.

They were alone. So any win would be theirs. And not letting anyone have their guards do the catching for them. So they would be going alone.

They could come along with a maid or two. Someone who wasn’t skilled in haunting.

"Where’s my horse?" Eden asked as soon as he and Lysander arrived at where Elvis was. Lysander’s hands still around Eden shoulder.

"Why would you need it?" Elvis stared at him, his eyes subconsciously meeting Lysander’s hands which were around Eden.

"Of course it’s because I’ll be coming too" Eden reminded.

"You can go home. I won’t be needing you. You’ll only slow me down" Elvis said, taking his eyes off the hands around Eden’s shoulders.

"Slow you down? You’re kidding right?" Eden rolled his eyes "I’m your Valet, remember? So I should go with you wherever you go"

"I don’t want it" Elvis said, adjusting the reins of his horse.

"You can come with me Instead" Lysander offered with a smile.

Eden turned looking up at Lysander, their eyes met. It was only then that he realised his hands were still around Eden. He shyly pulled his hands off, scratching his hair.

"You’re such a lovely young man. Why can’t your brother be anything like you?" Eden complimented Lysander.

Lysander felt his cheeks colour "Oh.. thanks... Thanks.."

"I’ll be coming with you. Whether you want it or not" Eden insisted.

"Then good luck trekking" Elvis said

"....." Eden couldn’t believe Elvis.

"We... we can share the same horse" Lysander offered.

Elvis stared at Lysander and then at Eden. He casually sighed and continued adjusting his horse.

"You’re such a darling" Eden smiled at Lysander. He had wanted to be close and touchy with Elvis on the same horse, but it seemed he’ll have to go with Lysander.

Everyone was ready and had mounted their horses. Their equipment is with them along with their survival stuff too. Their maids stood besides each person, holding the tools and stuff they’d need.

And so the twenty men sat on their horses, ready to set off.

Queen Lea stood at the distance, staring at her son. She was bewildered when she saw Lysander stretching out his hands to pull Eden up on his horse.

"That brat..." she mumbled. But she couldn’t stop them. It was already too late. All she could do was watch her son let Eden sit in front of him on the horse while Lysander had both his hands around Eden while holding the reins.

She was speechless "I’m dead... That boy will be the death of me. Curse you you wizard!" She muttered in pain, holding a hand over her chest.

She stood beside the Imperial Princess who stared in annoyance over Eden’s words. She couldn’t get the picture of Eden and Elvis being intimate off her head now!

They had now taken off, the horses moving away from the palace while heading to the neighbouring city where the haunting was being held. It wasn’t so far off like the one held last year.

"Follow him closely" Eden told Lysander, pointing at Elvis who was ahead of them.

Eden was sitting in front of Lysander on the horse, his body closely against Lysander’s. Lysander was already feeling nervous at the position. He didn’t even know why he had offered it in the first place!

His hands circled Eden who sat in front of him, looking all little. His hands gently brushed through Eden’s body while he controlled the horse. His heart was fluttering as he tried paying attention to the road.

"Oh...okay" Lysander nodded at Eden’s words as he moved the horse to meet up with Elvis. Their horses soon walked beside each other.

"Hey" Eden waved at Elvis. Elvis stared in his direction. His eyes observing their position.

"We’ll be taking the same path since we’re all family" Eden suggested.

Elvis didn’t reply, he casually pulled the reins and his horse overtook them.

"...." Eden blinked.

"The nerve of that guy. Was he always like that?" Eden had turned his head back to look up at Lysander’s face

Their faces gently brushed against each other. Lysander swallowed, his heart dropping "Huh?" Eden’s hair was now over his chin as Eden looked ahead.

"Uh.. he’s always like that..." Lysander replied. "Even to me"

Eden sighed "Poor boy"

"Let’s hurry up" Eden suggested as he placed his hands over Lysander’s hands that were on the reins. Covering Lysander’s hands with his own.

"Huh?" Lysander was startled. He wondered how long his heart could handle all the explosions.

"Let’s charge ahead so we don’t lose him" Eden said, his hands still on Lysander’s hands as he pulled the reins with Lysander’s hands.

"Oh...Uh..." Lysander nodded, holding the nervous shiver he has with Eden’s hands persistently on his own.

The horse moved past the Capital city. Through the bustling market.

As soon as the people caught sight of the young men, they could tell where they were heading.

They all cheered for the brave young men. Especially the crown prince and the prince whom they saw.

While they cheered, Eden also looked at them. Smiling and waving back at the People.

"Isn’t that the wizard of EL?"

"What’s he doing here?"

"Everyone hide now, He’ll kill us all!"

And like that everyone rushed off, hiding in buildings and shops while covering themselves up.

Within a minute, the whole market square was empty and quiet. Only the sound of the gentle breeze passing through the place could be heard.

It was like a grave yard suddenly. And the young men on their horses, except Elvis, all turned to cast a cold glare at Eden whom they were sure was the reason behind it all.

Eden stared at them too as he struggled "What?"
