Chapter 154: 154: A Kind Offer
While Felix went to wash up, Eden and Lenny sat there in bed discussing.
It was the day Eden was going to Leo’s place to deliver a message. So he had to be prepared for how he was going to go about it.
Especially since he wasn’t going to deliver any messages at all. He would have to secure a plot to escape death.
"You two really went full couple mode last night..." Lenny pointed out. "I couldn’t even hide around here, else I’d be hearing those sounds!"
"Do you have to bring that up?" Eden snapped.
"Yes, I do. Because you two were something else last night," Lenny said.
Eden shrugged. "Well, it’s not like it’s my fault. He’s apparently obsessed with me. So I can’t help it," Eden stated.
"Isn’t he straight? Because all he was doing last night was anything but straight," Lenny pointed out.
"How did you even know? Were you looking at us or something?!" Eden was speechless.
"Well, it’s not like I saw much. But still," Lenny said. "He’s certainly bi or something. Still in denial."
"Pretty much," Eden said. "But that’s by the way. The issue now is how do we get out of the palace without getting suspected or followed?"
"I think that would be easier now. Because Elvis went out with the King for some official matter in a neighboring city. They left this morning."
"Is that so?" Eden was excited. "Which means I can actually leave."
"Exactly. At least it benefited us," Lenny nodded.
"But... isn’t he still recovering? Why’s he moving around?" Eden questioned.
"Does his father seem like he cares about his injury? Of course he took him along to official matters," Lenny explained.
"How unreasonable..." Eden mumbled, pissed.
"But that’s by the way," Lenny said. "You should be thinking about how to escape and get things done fast before they return. Because if they do and don’t see you around, it’ll be chaos."
Eden nodded. "I guess so. So we should leave as soon as we can. So we can at least return earlier."
Lenny nodded. "True."
Felix soon emerged from the bathroom after taking his bath.
He was half-naked with only a white towel around his waist.
Lenny and Eden couldn’t help but turn to look in his direction.
"Master, how do I look?" Felix asked, flexing his abs and body.
Eden casually stared at him. "Are you being for real now?"
Felix smiled. "And look." He raised his hands as Lenny began floating in the air. "I’m getting used to my powers!"
"Hey! You jerk! Let me down! I refuse to be your practice tool!" Lenny protested, kicking his legs and paws in the air.
"What do you think? Impressed?" Felix asked.
"If you’re not ready to leave in the next minute, I’ll magically send you off to another city with no hope of returning," Eden threatened.
Felix closed his arms, and Lenny fell on the bed.
"Ouch," he cried.
"Okay. I’ll be ready in a jiffy."
---
Eden knew it wouldn’t be that easy if he wanted to leave the palace, even with the King and Elvis out of sight.
He could tell Elvis must have prepared some guards or so to keep an eye on him. Or worse still, stop him from leaving the palace if he wanted to.
So Eden knew he had to find a sure means to leave the palace. And the best option he could come up with was through Lysander.
Luckily, Lysander was still around in the palace. So Eden made his way to his room to meet him.
He would have to find a way to make Lysander take him out of the palace himself. That way, it would be less suspicious. And any potential guard sent by Elvis couldn’t stop him.
---
Eden knocked on Lysander’s door.
It took a while before Lysander pulled the door open himself.
And as soon as Lysander saw Eden, he slapped the door closed again.
There was an awkward silence.
Eden stood there, blinking while staring at the door now in front of him.
What had just happened now? was all he could come up with at the moment.
He didn’t knock again, but soon the door was opened again. By Lysander again.
"Oh... you’re here... well..." Lysander was awkward with his words as he nervously ran a hand through his hair.
Eden could tell that he was feeling shy about the night they had together. So probably he was acting all awkward and seemingly avoiding Eden.
But Eden didn’t seem to care. All he wanted was a way to get out of this palace legally.
"Can I come in?" Eden went straight to the point.
"Oh," he hesitated. "Come in? Ah..."
"Thanks." Eden didn’t wait for Lysander to say whatever he wanted or give an excuse. He casually walked into the room, walking past Lysander while making his way to the bed.
Eden sat down. "Come up with something. I want you to take me out. I have somewhere to be, so please help me get out as soon as you can."
"Huh?" Lysander was confused for a while. "Why do you want me to help you...?"
"Because you can," Eden stared at him. He was casual with his words and his expressions, and Lysander couldn’t help but wonder if Eden didn’t feel awkward about what happened the previous night.
It was as though he was the only one involved, because Eden was so casual about it.
Lysander had been drunk when it all started. But at least he had some active brain cells that made him aware of what he was doing.
But he was still going on with it—on and on—until he was playing adult with Eden in bed. And he was simply still feeling shy about the thought of it.
He was still all flushed up about the thought.
"Tell the guards that we’re going on a romantic date," Eden said to Lysander.
"Huh?" Lysander was surprised at the proposal Eden was making.
