Chapter 163: 163: Sleep Alone?!
Eden’s hands were firmly wrapped around Leo’s neck as he carried him out of the dining room.
He walked through the corridor with him in his eyes. The eyes of the guards were on them, shocked.
They couldn’t say anything but watched as Leo carried Eden in his arms. And soon they were close to Leo’s chamber room.
Leo stared at him. He stared at Leo’s eyes that were on where he was heading to. He didn’t even look at him.
"Where are we going?" Eden asked. But he didn’t reply.
And soon, they arrived.
Leo pushed open the chamber’s door and walked into the spacious grandeur-looking chamber room.
Leo’s bedroom was exquisitely designed with golden embroidery across the room. The bed and the furniture around.
On the walls were classic and vintage paintings hung and painted across, and kept in an aesthetic manner.
There was also a huge library at the side which housed lots of books. Different types of books. Vintage style.
Eden casually looked through the room as Leo brought him to the king-sized bed. With his arms still around him, he dropped Eden on the bed while bending.
Eden still wrapped his hands around his neck.
"You could let go now..." Leo said, now looking at him.
Their faces were close and their eyes were locked. Eden could feel his breath soothing his face while his own breath struggled to keep a rhythm.
His eyes ran through Eden’s face while Eden’s gaze rested on his lips. His perfectly outlined full lips that moved uncertainly.
Eden smiled. "What would you do if I kissed you?"
Leo paused. His eyes were on Eden, who lay pale in bed. Their eyes locked.
Eden’s hand slowly ran through his neck, carefully caressing his back while staring into his eyes. He was searching for a reaction from his face. A reaction that would give him a go-ahead order.
But Leo gave none. His expression was plain and unpredictable. Eden couldn’t tell what he was thinking, so he couldn’t make a complete move.
All he could do was run his hands seductively through his back...
And soon, his face began moving closer. Eden began moving his lips closer to meet Leo’s face.
Slowly and steadily. His breath calmed, and his eyes fixed on Leo’s lips.
And while his lips moved closer to Leo’s, his eyes closed.
Leo said, "You should sleep now."
And like that, Eden paused. He slowly opened his eyes as he stared into Leo’s eyes now. "Huh?"
"You should go to sleep now. I have more important things to do tonight." Leo left him and then turned to leave.
"Huh?" Eden sat up in his white robe. "You’re leaving?"
Leo paused, turning to look at him. "Of course. What else am I supposed to do if I don’t leave?"
Eden blinked. "You’re not sleeping here...? I mean... This is your room after all."
Leo stared at him for a while. "And what makes you think I’ll sleep here... with you..?"
"Because it’s part of the deal..." Eden said. "The condition I made. Don’t you think you should keep to that?"
Leo scoffed, his arms folded as he cast a cold glare at Eden. "The deal was to let you stay in my room. And we never agreed to you sleeping with me."
Eden blinked as he bit his lower lip.
Fuck, he thought.
"But..."
"Besides, your reason for not sleeping at your place was that it wasn’t inhabitable. Now you have a better place. Enjoy it alone," he said as he turned and walked off.
Leo was soon gone and Eden was left alone again.
He sat there staring into thin air as he blinked. "What the hell... I can’t believe I didn’t think that through," he muttered.
---
It took a while of Eden lying there alone in the king-sized bed, staring up at the artistically decorated ceiling.
The atmosphere was pretty, and he felt aesthetic just sleeping in it. But he also felt terrible knowing that his plan of seducing Leo didn’t work.
His initial plan was to seduce him within today, so he could possibly use it as an excuse not to spill the evidence he found. But it didn’t work, so he had to find something else.
"I knew you couldn’t seduce him that easily." Lenny jumped onto the bed. Eden sat up. He sighed.
"He’s harder than I thought. I mean, no one could easily resist my pretty legs." He ran a hand through his legs. "And I was in robes too."
Lenny laughed. "Well, maybe he’s just straight."
Eden looked around the room. "Or maybe he just doesn’t sleep in his room."
"How do you know?"
"Well, look at his room. It just... doesn’t feel like he sleeps in here. So I guess he doesn’t really sleep in his room," Eden observed.
"Do you think so?" Lenny thought. "He can’t possibly be sleeping in the library, does he?"
Eden stared at Lenny. "What do you mean by that?"
Lenny shrugged. "I can’t be sure. It’s just that I had randomly followed him to know where he was going afterward, and I found him going to the library."
"Huh? I don’t think he’s sleeping there. Maybe he just needs to read there for a while or something. He might return soon... maybe?"
"I doubt it," Lenny said. "Because I also heard him instructing his servant boy to bring him some drinks for the night and also some beddings."
"So he’s staying there till midnight or something...?" Eden stared at Lenny.
"Or overnight," Lenny shrugged.
Eden stared around the room. He ran a hand through the bed to feel it. "Or maybe he just doesn’t sleep here at all..."
"What do you mean...?" Lenny looked around.
Eden still had his hands on the bed as he said, "This place just feels cold. It doesn’t feel like someone’s been staying here. It doesn’t feel warm, so I’m just thinking that maybe he doesn’t sleep here at all..."
"Oh..." Lenny nodded, also looking around.
