Chapter 162: Clean the table?

Chapter 162: 162: Clean the table?

According to the novel, Leo was still writing the work. It was still in its drafting stage, and he hadn’t even thought of publishing it.

But Eden had mentioned it. And it had Leo staring at him, shocked.

And at the moment, Eden could tell that he had made a mistake.

He bit his lower lip. But that didn’t mean he was going to give in to making a mistake at all.

"How do you know that title?" Leo questioned. He was certain no one had seen the work at all. He had hidden it so well that no soul could even find it.

Eden smiled. "I just know about it. And I also know the details of it..."

It was a work aimed at exposing the evil ways of the royal family in a more bold and direct manner, while also expressing how one should live a modest life.

A work criticizing the royal family for being hypocrites who didn’t follow the art of living modest lives as rulers.

It was one of his boldest works that was sure to cause a commotion. So he was simply shocked that someone other than him knew it.

It was his dear secret.

"How do you know about it...?" Leo was now alert.

Eden read his expression, and he could feel the panic on it. He smiled, knowing this was his cue.

"I guess I have the powers to know more than you," Eden smiled. "To know that at least you’re taking a bold step to expose the royal family..."

Eden paused at the sight of Leo’s face that had gone cold. He added again with a smile, "But how do you plan on exposing them without solid evidence yet..? Do you want to die that badly?"

Eden teased Leo and watched his expression grow cold. He liked that. And he also liked that he could use this against him now.

"But as always, I’m the only one that can help you now. The only one who can make your silly project meaningful with core evidence." He smiled.

Leo’s eyes almost went cold as he questioned, "What the hell do you want from me...?"

"Let me stay in your room," Eden smiled.

"You scheming bastard..." Damien was just speechless.

"I don’t have the strength to share the gist today. And since my room is already in a mess, I should stay with you for protection at least." He smiled at him.

Leo got up to his feet. And without further notice, he pulled his sword and stretched it out to Eden’s neck.

He stood beside Eden now, close enough to hold his sword on his neck as his cold eyes rested on Eden.

With both legs still crossed on the table, Eden had his chin high while he stared at the sword over his neck.

He swallowed as he smiled. He could say he had already gotten used to this. Because, for some reason, everyone wanted their swords over his neck.

"And what do you think you’re doing, my lord?" Eden stared up at him.

"I don’t have time to play with such despicable human beings," Leo said. "Maybe if I just have your head, I can end all this nonsense."

Eden smiled softly, his eyes on the sword. "Are you sure about that? Are you already planning on going against your powerful write-up on a modest life? Which is against killing... that’s pretty hypocritical if you ask me, my lord."

Leo glared at him. Their eyes locked—Eden’s eyes beaming with excitement while Leo’s eyes were simply cold, wrapped with all colors of hatred and annoyance.

"Damien..." Leo suddenly said.

"Yes, my lord." Damien was alert, waiting for Leo’s order on what method they’d be using to cut off Eden’s head.

He was already certain that was what to expect.

But Leo said, "Clean the tables."

"Huh?" Damien was confused. "But why..?"

"We’ll be going to bed now. The two of us." Leo’s instructions echoed chaos in Damien’s ears.

He couldn’t understand what the hell Leo meant by that. He couldn’t understand why he was agreeing to what Eden had said.

Eden, on the other hand, was surprised that Leo agreed. He guessed his words on him really had some effect.

Especially with regards to the book he was working on.

Eden smiled. "Is that so? We’re going to sleep together?"

"My lord, what...." Damien was still confused.

But Leo had dropped his sword on the table even before he finished his sentence.

And then, without even speaking of his intentions, Leo swept Eden off the seat and carried him in his arms.

One second Eden was sitting down with both legs crossed on the table. The next second, he was in Leo’s arms.

His arms wrapped around Leo’s neck as Leo held him firmly in his arms. His hands holding his bare feet while staring down at his face.

Eden gulped, his eyes on Leo as he blinked. "What... what’s it?"

"You wanted to go and sleep, right? Why don’t we go right away?" He wasn’t asking. He was declaring. And Eden didn’t have an option to contribute at this point. All he could do was wrap his arms around Leo’s neck firmly while staring into his eyes that he found extremely dreamy for the moment.

It was his first time getting this close to his face. And seeing how perfect his face was made him conclude that these authors took time to make their leads perfect.

His pointed nose, his perfectly lined red lips, and his lashes furred over his brown dreamy eyes. Even Eden couldn’t stop his heart from beating and skipping beats.

"Why? You don’t want to go to bed anymore?" Leo asked, his arm still holding onto Eden. Eden could feel his palms on his laps.

"Let’s go." Eden knew he had to speak. And so he said it with a calm smile, still struggling to be as calm as possible.

And without further words, Leo turned and left the dining room with Eden in his arms.

Damien casually stood there watching them leave in shock, his eyes and mouth dropped open as though he had just witnessed a ghost.
