Chapter 175: Enough Fun And Games

Chapter 175: 175: Enough Fun And Games

"What the hell is this?!" Damien stepped backwards, mortified by what he had just seen.

"Two men having sex," Eden smiled, proud of himself.

"Why the hell would..." Damien glared at Eden, his face already flushed. "Why would you show that?!"

Eden smiled. "Are you blushing?"

"....." Damien covered his face.

"How dare you present some dirty image right in front of me?" Leo questioned, his face already boiling up in fury.

"Why won’t I? You wanted a book to help explain better? So I was helping out with something," Eden struggled.

Leo had had enough.

He pushed his chair backwards and casually got up to his feet. He was still recovering from the unholy image he had witnessed.

Something he had always kept himself away from witnessing as an educated man. Now it ran through his vision even with the book out of his view.

"I guess you really don’t have anything important to say here..." Leo said, a hand behind him as he stared at Eden now.

Eden smiled. "I already said that. But you were still insistent."

Leo stared at him for a while and then stretched his neck. "Then I guess there’s no need to play courtesy."

Eden smiled. "I guess you weren’t playing courtesy enough." He smiled.

"You think?" Leo’s expression was cold as he got out his sword. Now holding it firmly in his hands, ready to strike. "Then I guess we should end with the pretence and get down to business. Ending you."

Eden still had a calm smile over his face. "It’s about time, I suppose," he said, adjusting his attire.

Leo swung his sword over the table and the book tore into two.

Eden’s eyes grew wide in shock as he watched his precious novel get ruined. "That was disrespectful to my precious book! You’ve gone too far."

"The next won’t be the book. But your head." Leo now pointed his sword at Eden.

Eden scoffed. "You think?"

Leo attacked, sending his sword towards Eden. But Eden casually stepped backwards and turned.

He was now running, making for the door even though he knew it wouldn’t be easy to leave through there.

Leo didn’t go after him. He stood there watching as Eden approached the door. And as he got close to the door, it suddenly burst open.

Guards marched into the mansion, now surrounding Eden. All with their swords and spears, ready to strike.

Eden was now in the middle. He didn’t bother moving as he stood still, both hands behind him.

Eden cleared his throat. "Just like I thought. You’ve already had this planned out since the moment I came here," he turned to Leo, smiling.

With his sword held by Damien, Leo had both hands behind him as he walked up to Eden. "I never wanted to kill you like this. I never planned to. That was if only you stuck to the plan and told me what I wanted to hear from you. And not some gibberish."

Eden coughed slightly. And then sighed. He guessed the cold was still there.

"Well, I guess I too was looking forward to this because I knew I wasn’t going to tell you anything at all." He smiled.

"Then why did you come in the first place if you weren’t going to speak? Shouldn’t you have ignored me or stayed back? Why then walk into your own doom?" Leo questioned.

Lenny had asked Eden the same question. And this time he casually scoffed. "Even if I didn’t come, you’d still find a way to end me. So what’s the difference?"

Eden added, "And maybe I was naive enough to think that if I came here I’d find a way to stop you from wanting to kill me. But rather make you consider being partners with me."

He sighed. "But I guess it didn’t work. I was yet again naive."

"Yes. You were," Leo said. "And now you’ll have to meet your doom." Leo signalled the guards with a finger, and they all attacked.

Eden knew his powers were the only thing that could save him. He had a cold so he didn’t know how effective they’d be, but he had no other choice.

He waved his hands at them and purple waves flushed through them. It sent the guards at a side flying through the air and against the wall.

But Eden wasn’t prepared for the guard that came behind him. They were quick, and one had kicked him from behind.

Eden staggered, almost falling to the ground. But he muttered another spell and disappeared into thin air.

Purple smoke filled the spot he vanished from.

The guards stood there, confused. They all looked around while they wondered where he vanished to.

"And where did he go...?" one of the guards asked.

"Maybe he actually disappeared..."

"So we lost him?"

"I fear we did..."

"That’s terrible..." They panicked.

But then another guard was quick to say, "Look! He’s over there!"

The guards instantly turned to Leo’s direction.

Eden didn’t just disappear and leave the venue. But his damn powers had teleported him right into Leo’s arms.

He had both hands wrapped around Leo’s neck while Leo held him in his arms and stared at him, confused.

"Is this some sort of trick or what?" Leo questioned, staring at the wizard in his arms.

Eden blinked while he cursed beneath his breath. "Curse these damn powers and this cold!"

Before Leo could even think of doing something, Eden had acted first. He grabbed Leo by the hair and pulled him hard.

"Ah! What! Ah! Let go!" Leo was now fighting for his hair as Eden grabbed it tight. Too tight that Leo could feel himself going bald.

"Let go, you mad man!" Leo cried in pain while struggling to throw Eden off himself.

But Eden wasn’t letting go easily. Especially when he had their leader right in his hands. Literally.

And so he crawled around Leo’s body, who was struggling to get free, and crawled to Leo’s back.
