Chapter 94: A Morning Attack

Chapter 94: 94: A Morning Attack

Morning arrived and the two of them were still sleeping by the feet of a huge tree there.

The sun was out and the hole which they were in was illuminated.

The two comfortably lay there by the tree, enjoying their sleep while not bothering to know what was staring at them.

At a corner of the woods were a pair of eyes that peeped at them from the bush.

Watching them closely for awhile before the beast suddenly emerged from the woods, now approaching then.

A huge Tiger with a number tag of 10 points was now making its way to feed on the two ignorant souls that were still asleep.

It groaned as it approached, staring hungrily at the two figures. It was certainly anticipating the meal.

When suddenly Eden slowly opened his eyes.

He felt and heard something around. And when he did look up, his eyes met with the tiger that was almost at their side.

Eden stiffed.

Shivers ran down his spine as sleep escaped from his eyes.

The sight of the beast sent him in panic as he slowly tapped Helen with his elbow, waking her up.

"Get up, we’re doomed" He mumbled to her as she slowly opened her eyes too. Sleep flew away from her eyes too.

The two of them panicked at the sight of the tiger approaching.

"Run" Eden charged as the two of them jumped in the opposite direction.

The tiger also charged forward, now running after Eden.

Eden found himself running through the narrow pathways in the huge hole, trying to escape the tiger that was just behind him.

His heart skipped beats while he panicked at the thought of being eaten by this tiger!

That was never in his to-do list.

He hated that he didn’t have anything to protect himself with. He was even too busy running for his life that he forgot about Lenny.

The tiger was almost closing up on him as he made an abrupt turn. Running through the rough areas to make sure the tiger couldn’t smoothly follow suit.

Helen had soon come to his rescue. Throwing a huge stone at the tiger which brought it to an abrupt stop. Helen hid behind a bush.

The tiger looked around, groaning while looking for where the attack had come from.

Eden had already taken off, hiding off somewhere in the bush while struggling to control his panting.

And while he did so, the tiger resumed searching for him through the bushes close by. It’s nose vigilantly searching the area.

Eden stiffened, fear gripping every part of him. He hated such experience and hated the fact that he had volunteered to even come here.

Most parts of him was already regretting it!

The tiger had paused and now turned to where Helen was. It sniffed towards her direction and began heading towards the bush where Helen hid.

Eden hid there behind the bush, holding his breath while wondering where the tiger was.

He was still of the thought that it was coming after him, so he didn’t dare make any move that would attract its attention.

He just sat there quietly, praying for a miracle or something. And just then he heard a scream from Helen.

"Ah!"

He stiffened "Helen?"

He figured that the tiger was now after her.

Eden found himself dashing out of his hiding place . He turned and rushed towards where Helen was hiding.

The tiger was now chasing after Helen who was running for her dear life through the narrow path.

She didn’t seem like one who was that good at running and Eden could tell that she would probably be caught soon by the tiger.

He looked around and found a stick. It wasn’t the best option but at least it was something. He picked it up and made his way to Helen.

Helen had finally fallen down. Her legs were weak on the ground where she sat, looking up at the tiger approaching.

Fear ran over her body, But feet were too weak to get up.

She sat there, slowly pushing backwards while praying for a miracle or something.

And then Eden branched from the side and into the view. Now standing in-between the tiger and the Helen who sat on the ground.

He sharply swung the stick hard over the tiger’s face, sending it staggering backwards.

The tiger groaned after the hard hit. Staggering backwards as it shook its head.

Eden didn’t wait for it to recover, he swung again. Sending the tiger staggering backwards while shaking its head.

Eden didn’t wait, he swung it again and again until the tiger had had enough.

The tiger grabbed his stick as he made his next attack. Grabbing it with its teeth and pulling it away from Eden’s hands.

The tiger threw it away.

Eden paused, his hands now empty as he blinked at the tiger "Well, I guess you didn’t like that game"

He said, now moving backwards and away from the tiger which was fiercely approaching.

Eden figured it was over for them. Because he didn’t have any weapons on him.

And it was only in the hands of God to determine if they’d survive this or not.

And just then he thought about Lenny. He could ask Lenny for help.

But when he was about doing so, the tiger fell down to its death as something attacked it from behind.

A spear-like object which fell from the sky had hit the tiger at its back. Immediately taking it down to its end.

Eden stood there, watching as the tiger fell in pain and soon went silent.

It was dead and the spear was still left on its back.

Eden blinked. Shocked. He watched the tiger die and soon watched as someone approached the tiger, pulling the spear from the back of the tiger and holding it to their side.

Confused, Eden looked up at the tall tiger, staring at the deep blue hair of the tall figure that first caught his attention.
