Chapter 95: The Mage

Chapter 95: 95: The Mage

Eden stared at the tall figure that he presumed was the height of the Lysander. Both clocking around 1.9m, if he was to be asked.

This young man who stood In front of him now was not only tall.

But had a good build and a memorable face. He had the visuals of a male lead indeed.

So it didn’t take Eden too long to make a speculation on who he could be.

Blue hair. Eden thought. There was a character he knew in the book that had that.

One of the male leads and the final male lead he was to meet in the book.

The Mage.

Eden stiffened, staring at the good-looking youthful young man who was cleaning up the blood at the edge of his spear-like object with a rag.

Eden was impressed by his visual. He wasn’t below any of the male leads. He was just as gorgeous as the rest.

All eye candies in their own light. The typical Male lead syndrome indeed.

While he stared at the good-looking youth standing before him, The Mage also looked back at him. Their eyes locking for a while.

He had his eyes fixed on Eden for awhile as he casually smiled "Nice to meet you"

Eden figured he would probably know who he was. That he would certainly know that he was the wizard of EL. They always know since they were after him.

Eden didn’t reply to his greeting. He casually stared at his facial features that actually did stand out. He was indeed attractive and that was something Eden couldn’t deny.

He now walked up to Eden, standing close as he bent down, now leaning to take a good look at Eden’s face "Are you okay? You look strange"

"I’m fine" Eden said, taking a step backwards.

Helen had now stood up. Her feet still wasn’t in it’s best shape but she could at least stand.

She stared at the two men Infront of her.

"Are you okay?" Eden turned to check up on her. He was too busy appreciating the beauty of God’s creation that he had forgotten that Helen was on the floor.

"I’m fine.Thanks" she smiled.

The Mage now had his eyes on Helen.

Even in the book, it was the first time they had met. The first time he had set his eyes on her. And so as the book would also have it, he was captivated by her.

His eyes were on her. Not moving away. His smile broadening as he stared at her face. Captivated by her facial features that anyone who saw him would know he had fallen for her at first sight.

Eden now stared at him, and he knew.

He rolled his eyes mumbling to himself "You don’t even know her"

"Good day My lady" The Mage stretched out his hands to Helen with a gentle smile "The name’s Felix. Felix Devereux. Yours?"

Helen hesitated before taking his hands to reciprocate the handshake "Helen. Helen Wilson"

"What a beautiful name. It reminds me of the sunset itself" Felix smiled as he kissed her hands.

Eden blinked. He didn’t know which was worse. The fact that he had fallen for her just like that or the pick-up lines he was using which he found cringe.

"It’s such a dangerous place, I wonder what a delicately beautiful lady like you is doing here all alone?" He asked, sounding worried.

Eden glared at him "I’m also here"

Felix didn’t even bother looking in Eden’s ways. He still had his eyes on Helen.

"I got missing while passing by" She explained.

"That’s bad. Well, this is dangerous place. You can’t stay here for too long else something worse might happen. Why don’t you come along with me? I’ll take you out of here"

He offered, still holding onto her hands.

Eden glared at Felix again. He couldn’t believe he was third-wheeling while watching the contents of the book play out.

It was worse than he remembered reading.

"Hey" Eden stepped in, cutting off their hands "I’m also here. And I would also want to get out of here in case you can’t tell"

Felix paused, staring at Eden for a while. And then he overlooked him again and turned to Helen, smiling.

"Would you like to follow me? I’ll lead the way" He offered her.

Helen nodded "Oh. Okay. Sorry for the trouble..."

"It’s no trouble at all. It’s my pleasure to help out someone as angelic as you" He was clearly flirting with her and Eden felt as though he was the only one who noticed and cringed as well.

He watched as he offered her his hands again "So if you don’t mind, would you take my hands and let’s get going then?" He smiled.

"Oh .." Helen stared at his hands for awhile, contemplating if she was to take it or not.

While she contemplated, Eden had already stepped in and placed his hands over Felix’s hand, gripping it tightly.

Felix glared at him as Eden said with a smile "Sure. Let’s get going. I’d be more than glad to have you lead the way"

Felix didn’t waste time as he squeezed his hands free from Eden’s grip. An outright rejection.

Now free from Eden’s hands, Felix decided to take the initiative and take Helen’s hands. He grabbed her arms with a sharp smile as he said.

"Now let’s get going. I’ll lead the way" He offered as he took her by the hands and walked off.

Eden stood there, speechless. He couldn’t believe he had just become a third wheel for the two of them!

Something he detested being!

"That fool..." He mumbled to himself as he turned to watch the two leave.

He was sure Felix probably recognised him as the Wizard of EL.

Now what baffled him was that he overlooked seizing the chance of capturing an enemy that would benefit him but rather went on to purse a lady?

Was he that dumb or did the author make him like that?

Eden was just speechless.
